fantastic table. I’m getting no errors. I’ve put the media pack in the PUP Videos but I’m sure I’ve missed something as I'm not getting any themed sound just the table sound. or is this table just for table cabinets only ?

any help here would be much appreciated

thanks

What about asking it in the table support thread ?

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

sorry i wasn't aware of this forums rules which you can ask support questions for tables they don't support. i assumed that one of the experts here might know of this table and assist me in getting it to work. apparently not it seams. sorry to have made that error in asking

It's not an "error" it's just not very efficient for you to ask here if the support thread is elsewhere. Hey, knock yourself out it's cool to ask here, might get some help, might not, but likely more help on this release elsewhere.

you have to remember that novices like myself might need a different kind of support. we aren't all sad to say that great with scripts message's and errors and never will be. i think overall I've done well with the vast majority of tables through perseverance. the goal posts now seam to have moved with some tables quite advanced in getting them to play. I'm just pleased thou that my personal favourites of tables play without going through hoops. to be honest the tables from stern are not at a level of the bally / Williams stable i find and well short of a table from jpsalas

i remember when i joined this forum last year i was struggling with a light setting on the cyclone table being to bright and not being able to dim it.

one of the experts here could see i was struggling and kindly custom made the table for me no roms nothing. i cant remember his name sadly but he certainly knew how to fine tune a table.

hopefully he might read this thread and do the same again?

yes it would be nice to be expert and to study and do it yourself but as i say that wont ever happen for those like myself and I'm sure there will be others like me

i didn't find that when i joined i thought some of the member's bent over backwards to help out especially the expert who customised the cyclone table for me. he done such a excellent job on par with zen studio. in fact better

I dont post it here .. since the site owner does not want Stern tables like this posted here. I have replied to him on the other site.

If I remember correctly the table had to be out of production for three years before any of those resources could be posted on VPF.

@fourbanks. Another good reason to ask in the table support thread, is your question may have already been asked and answered by someone. Then it saves you time from needing to type out the question and wait for a response. Also, the more you mess around the more you will learn over time. I really don’t know much about how to do things with visual pinball, but I know a lot more than I did a couple years ago.

thanks anyhow for all your answers. does anyone know if this table is for sale ? i couldn't see it for sale on their website. i would rather buy some tables then get involved in some licencing issues that last a lifetime.

failing that if someone gets this working with sound for a windows desktop user then please let me know

thanks

Owning the real table would be the dream!  I have the Munsters tribute table working on DT just fine.  To clarify when you say no themed sound does that mean no music at all including speech/call outs or just periods where there is no music?  All I can suggest is check all your VP stuff is up to date, chances are the author would have used the latest versions. Failing that then try re-downloading and re-installing the table files again.

thanks for your reply. just no themed sounds no music at all. I'm up to date with all the software and all of my other tables on the windows desktop play fine.

i have looked at stern website and have noticed the munsters table is not for sale from there catalogue of tables. does anyone know as to why that's not on the list ?

hopefully we will have to wait for one of the experts here get round to putting it together for vpx .

They are selling Munsters, but they sell to distributors I don't think they sell directly.  Google Munsters Pinball and lot's of distrubutors will pop up.

There's been a few posts about Thalamus.  That guy has probably helped more people than anyone else (well, maybe with the exception of Outhere LOL).  He helps at vpinball.com. he helps here and I think I've seen helpful posts at other sites too.  For the record, I don't think his posts in this thread are that bad LOL but if he shows impatience its that sometimes people should also try and help themselves too and his advice here is pretty bang on: you will ALWAYS get better help posting in the release there. This has nothing to do with forum preference, that's also where the AUTHOR of the table is likely to view and answer questions posed by people having issues.  Posting here questions that as mentioned may be answered elsewhere in the actual support thread doesn't help the OP at all.  But like I said, more power to whoever wants an answer to their question

Fourbanks:  This part I don't understand though... "you have to remember that novices like myself might need a different kind of support. we aren't all sad to say that great with scripts message's and errors and never will be. i think overall I've done well with the vast majority of tables through perseverance. the goal posts now seam to have moved with some tables quite advanced in getting them to play"

What does that mean?  Are you saying at vpinball.com, the answers are more technical in nature and therefore a newbie is better to ask here?  Don't get me wrong, we all have different skillsets, nothing wrong with that.  But this is the first time I interpret a post that kind of says one site seems better at answering questions than another.  Is this the result of more hand holding maybe by some people who assist here rather than other sites? (not said as a negative, seriously would like to know more how people see those assisting here and at other sites)

Lol. The game is 2019, maybe ask Stern for help?  You might get a better response but they won't know what a pup is, obv a dog to them.

It should be clearer to you on VPF that a game that new game whilst still on sale shouldn't be made. It's about not taking the piss as much as it's done anyway.

The select dickhead losers frequent both sites you know that but they favor the other where they are encouraged and granted the power and authority to flex.  Innocent questions and posts are often shot down over there so yeah one might understand why it's a good idea to ask here first.
