All Gottlieb roms were removed from this site as they requested.

No one said anything about tables for VPX. Just the game code is no longer hosted here. Search on Google for 'em. All the tables are supported by official MAME so it is likely one of those rom collections will have what you need. I found a link in about 2 seconds.

I didn’t know if gottlieb roms were the new ghostbusters table and we can’t share or talk about them. I found it on another website but I appreciate it here because I trust the files more

If you are worried about it then start grabbing with both hands. You never know if the hammer is going to come down.

it just amazes me that after what 10 plus years of visual pinball being around, they don't want them used now..... you cant tell me that these companies don't know about virtual pinball.  whats next we have to change all the copyrighted names of the tables....mustang becomes pony,   funhouse becomes happyhouse, tales of the arabian night becomes tales of the arabian American night....

that last one was for political correctness, kill 2 birds with one stone

Maybe. License holders have a right and responsibility to protect their IP. Site owners are under no obligation to risk their financial situation just so randos on the Internet can fill their collection of 1,000 tables. They don't want to be like this guy, starting life with a half million dollar judgement because of some shitty Limp Bizkit songs:

Leech what you can and maintain a good backup protocol. This community has always been grey market at best. IMO, we do more good than bad for the pinball industry but obviously my voice counts not one whit.

If you just wasn't a complete ass and excused yourself to me - I would have been your friend. Until then - happy hunting.

Update : Finally got the apology I've been waiting for - so we're ok.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

If it is just looking for code for VPX tables as you download and try them out, I'd just deal with the spam and the crap. For grey market, all this just comes with the territory.

Too bad you can't just download all ROMs zipped up just to be future proof.

you can from multiple torrent sites,

do't ask me what those sites are,   because google can tell you; you will more then likely end up in a site whee you download retro roms.

most of those torrents are for older versions of PINMAME and  don't include SAM stuff.

But you can download all the files you need for the "Classics"

as mentioned learn how to use CLRMAME Pro or Romcenter to rebuild your collection to the latest version of PINMAME.

With the SAM code, the full collection is several Gb. No one is going to host a link for all the ROMZ. Waste of bandwidth.

If this website charged a small membership fee, it would be a private “club”, then I would assume we could have whatever we wanted in our “club”

This site did host membership, and still does, but more for the dedicated cab enthuists and the like. Us PC folk are OK without membership that entitles one to software that should be available, or not, to all of us. That way, you produce a better "think tank" for problem solving, (which this site is renown for) when issues like this arise.

There was a small local bar in west virginia that charged $1 for a membership fee.  I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever hear of.  At the time the state had banned smoking in all public bars and restaurants.  Because this was no longer a public establishment and was a private club, they were allowed to continue smoking inside the bar.  The owners found a loophole that made them very rich people, not because of the dollar membership fee but because they could continue to serve people like they had always done before. Probably ended up saving the business.  Like I said before, what's the next thing to go?

We see things very differently. Once you start charging money from something - you really are in deep water. Never ever will I ask for money for anything related to VP. That way it stays a fan project which it really is to me. I've said it on another site. I have ALL the roms the VPM currently supports. I'm not going to put them on a torrent, since all the targeted roms already is easily available using that and other protocols. As it is now, they are all just a google search away, and once you've downloaded them you don't have to come asking every again for any roms. If the IP owners are able to delete them from every single search engine. Which is never going to happen. They still have a problem as I'm not a US citizen and I can't care less of any "internet" law that is enforced by the US government.

Please stop the drama - it really isn't a big deal.
