For me today:
Xevious Arrangement (in Namco Museum). Damn this is hard... I played to the last Area (16) but gave it up. Too frustrating.
Centipede (you never get tired of this)
Dig Dug (Atari roms)

Black Tiger...Love this game and can spend hours on 1 quarter. I was actually thinking of adding this games sounds to a pinball table!!
Tempest....Who doesn't love this classic?
Gyruss and Galaga...I always seem to play these two everytime I open MAME.
Another favorite that I wasn't too good at but loved the background music...Elevator Action.
Carry on.

Gyruss, Condor, Scramble, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Hyper olympics and some others...
The shooter games and hyper olympics are endless playing with only one credit. No increase of difficulty anymore.

I sometimes fail in the hammer throw on Hyper Olympics. Great classic but I always use MAME autofire settings to run. The guy becomes quite fast.

Yeah... great guy, amazing programmer. He was THE guy on C64. I'm just not too crazy about the Llama/Camel theme.
When emulation was new he was active with me and Neil Bradley in EMU forum. EMU was the first emulator that emulated Atari vector games. Jeff was really enthusiastic about the project... he loved Tempest and Gravitar just like me... especially Tempest. I guess he made a few homage versions of his own too. Those were the days. I was in my 20's and when I heard about EMU I went straight to computer store and bought a new machine just for it.
He also cracked games on C64 with a nick "Yak Society". ![]()
This was one of the best music themes on C64... actually I don't know if this is Jeff's or Benn Daglish's piece though. This is probably for Amiga or DOS version.

Neil Bradley, there's a name from the past. I wasn't a programmer so just a fan of the early emu scene but I was present on some of the early forums (all pre-mame 0.1). I remember Neil Bradley back then and several others, was one of the first to try "Retrocade" when he released it LOL (claim to fame? Nah just quick on clicking on link LOL)
Wow, the internet rabbit hole strikes again. I can't believe JoseQ emuviews website is still kicking around! Hasn't been updated since 2003 LOL. I used to chat a bit with the Dave's Arcade classics guy. Wow, his website is still up to, well I think it's his but it sure has changed. One of my fav emulator sites back then was emuviews, died a long time ago but the guy had a very relaxed view on the emulator hobby, was fun to read as a blog, pre-blog era LOL

Yeah back in those days there were a lot of different emulators. I even bought the standalone Xevious emu.
Then MAME took over, started the emulation tyranny and "killed" the independent small emu guys.
Seriously, it's great to have everything under the same roof. AAE, however, is superior vector game emulator. It's the only thing I use besides MAME.
You can have the full package here if you want to take a look (just unRAR and play):

I was a big AAE fan, only way to play vector games IMHO (though Mame have done some improvements in this area a few years ago, AAE last time I checked it was still ahead). Don't think I had the latest version so appreciated.
LOL 2008 so maybe I had the latest but checking into it, no idea where I put it! So once more, thanks!
