Hi all,
A while back I downloaded and played this table with no problem......now when I go back and load the table the video maze is nowhere to be found. In trying to locate the maze I was thinking it may be under the playfield monitor so I changed the screen size in the editor so I could have a peek under the playfield and don't see it there either.
I went so far as to delete the table and re download a new table file from here. Also just for grins re downloaded the correct ROM again, though I was pretty sure that was not the issue as I can hear the game sounds and the playfield lights seem to blink normally.
I'm wondering if anyone has an idea where the maze can be found?
Thanks!!

I just downloaded both DT VP9 versions and they both work for me...try clicking alt tab and see if you can see the dmd in toolbar and click it from there while table is running do this. Both tables had the dmd in upper left corner of screen and should be pulled to center top for correct placement..
You will see this when you hit Alt-Tab and you want to highlight the dmd.
Or you can press the window button between alt and ctrl to see if dmd is in toolbar.
This is how both tables looked when I ran them...
Here is Kristians version...
Here is unclewillys....
Hope this helps.
Edit: Each table took a few seconds after startup for the DMD to show up in upper left corner, and once on the unclewilly version, the dmd didn't show, but did on restart of table.
I also downloaded the VP8 version and the FullScreen version and all had DMD in upper left corner.
I would download the new beta version of VPX found here...
http://www.vpforums....e=1#entry331007
And inside included with this download is a folder named scripts, just copy these scripts to where your other scripts are. You cant use the VPX beta to run VP9 tables, but the scripts are all backwards compatible with VP9 and VP8 and maybe it will help your situation.
Is this the only table not showing a DMD? if it is then it doesnt sound like you need a fresh install of PinMAME. But if it isn't the only one, I would install the newest VPinMAME found here...
http://www.vpforums....e=1#entry256944
Hope this helps.
If not i'm sure somebody with more knowledge on this will help you. And it won't hurt to have the newest scripts and PinMame.

TO USE DB2S BACKGLASS PROGRAM WITH DESKTOP TABLES ON 1 MONITOR

Thanks Xenonph,
You've given me some things to try.....
I have a two monitor cabinet with a real DMD display. So as I understand it, the video display for this table is actually the DMD display?
I do remember dragging it to the BG originally.
I have no other tables giving me any problems out of over 600. I am running all of the VP X tables as well without any trouble.
If I download the 10.1 beta will that just overwrite the 10.0 files on their own when I run it or is it more involved than that? I had some help installing VP X as I just get myself into trouble when I perform upgrades on my own.
I'll try what you suggest and report back.

All I was talking about using from that download of VPX BETA 10.1, is the scripts in the scripts folder, and im sure that wont have an adverse effect on your setup...specially if you are already running VPX. I am unable to run VPX, but when I added them scripts alot of games that didnt work for me, started working...think I was missing the controller.vbs file or something like that.
I would wait for somebody with more knowledge with the VPX setup to help you, as I know nothing about it.
Same with the new PinMame, I didnt know you were running these on a cab, so best to wait for someone with better knowledge on that subject. Not sure if there is a special PinMame for cabinets or different setting or not.
I am a Desktop Table player only.
The scripts should be fine on your setup.
Not sure of PinMame setting for cabs.

I see....Ok....I did the DL and placed the scripts from the DL in my scripts folder with the same result.....no maze.
I also tried the windows button and alt-tab buttons and did not see the maze in the toolbar either.
Thanks for trying......I'll have to wait for someone else's help at this point. Sure do appreciate the effort though.

When I tried the FS Table the DMD was Tiny in upper corner as compared to where it would cover middle of your backglass and it is not rotated
Try this...
Between Lines 36 and 55 you will see...
Const cGameName = "babypac"
Sub BabyPacman_Init()
vpmInit Me
With Controller
.GameName = cGameName
If Err Then MsgBox "Can't start Game " & cGameName & vbNewLine & Err.Description:Exit Sub
.SplashInfoLine = "Baby Pacman Bally 1982" & vbNewLine & "by unclewilly V1.0"
'.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol") = 0 'uncomment if you need the dmd rotated
.HandleKeyboard = 0
.ShowTitle = 0
.ShowDMDOnly = 1
.ShowFrame = 0
.HandleMechanics = 0
.Hidden = 0
On Error Resume Next
.Run GetPlayerHWnd
If Err Then MsgBox Err.Description
On Error Goto 0
End With
You need to uncomment line 44 by deleting the '
at the beginning of line 44 and change the 0 to a 1
so it will look like this...
.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol") = 1 'uncomment if you need the dmd rotated
Now you will be adding these new lines so the new lines will look like this...
you can copy and paste this if need be...
***********************************************************************************
Const cGameName = "babypac"
Sub BabyPacman_Init()
vpmInit Me
With Controller
.GameName = cGameName
If Err Then MsgBox "Can't start Game " & cGameName & vbNewLine & Err.Description:Exit Sub
.SplashInfoLine = "Baby Pacman Bally 1982" & vbNewLine & "by unclewilly V1.0"
.Games(cGameName).Settings.Value("rol") = 1 'uncomment if you need the dmd rotated
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=300
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=300
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_width")=600
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_height")=765
.HandleKeyboard = 0
.ShowTitle = 0
.ShowDMDOnly = 1
.ShowFrame = 0
.HandleMechanics = 0
.Hidden = 0
On Error Resume Next
.Run GetPlayerHWnd
If Err Then MsgBox Err.Description
On Error Goto 0
End With
***************************************************************************************
Notice you will only be deleting the apostrophe at the beginning of line 44
and changing the zero to a one on line 44....and
notice you will be only adding these 4 lines under line 44 (Just have cursor at end of line 44 and hit enter which will give you new open space below to write these 4 lines...
Hit enter after each line to move down to next line.
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_pos_x")=300
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_pos_y")=300
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_width")=600
Controller.Games("babypac").Settings.Value("dmd_height")=765
***********************************************************************************
I am not sure where this will put the dmd for you, but you can adjust these numbers.
pos X and pos Y refer to where the corner of the backglass starts...
width and height are the size of DMD. to where you can see it on your backglass at least partially hopefully.
With these 4 lines you can control the size and placing of DMD.
I use these settings in my FS NFL MODS but I slightly Modified them to give you a better chance to see a part of the DMD on Backglass at least...I took them from the spanned version but I am not sure if it will put it where you want it as I have know idea if it is working for my NFL FS Tables. Actually I am pretty sure since they came from a spanned table that they are not working for regular FS versions.
I know this info will help you get started on Baby PacMan DMD working on your backglass....
or at least I hope this helps you at least see the DMD on your backglass and you can adjust from there....
If you do adjust it to perfect fit, why not tell others what numbers you used in the tables support topic to help the next person with this problem.
Also if this does help you, I would like to ask you a favor. Can you download one of my new NFL 2-3 Scr dB2S backglasses, and see if the dmd is going to the right spot on the backglass, or do I need to adjust these numbers in the script? Or leave them out of the script?
Carry on sir and Keep on Pinballin'

TO USE DB2S BACKGLASS PROGRAM WITH DESKTOP TABLES ON 1 MONITOR

Hello Again,
I did exactly as you suggested by commenting out line 44 and changing the 0 to a 1, then copy and pasted the 4 lines of script. I then hit the play button and still no maze displayed.
I want to make sure that we are both on the same page here cause this has always been a source of confusion for me.
Now, because I have a two monitor cabinet with a real DMD display I have never had to play around getting the DVD to display in the proper location. The DMD display always fires up exactly like a real pin DMD....no adjustments necessary. I believe if I understand you correctly, your describing at two monitor setup where the DMD display is displayed within the backglass monitor? That type of setup seems to be what I read about people having trouble getting the DMD display in the correct position on the backglass monitor.
At any rate, I recall when I first downloaded this table a while back that the maze was quite small but did not need to be rotated, there is no way I'd of known how to do that on my own. So nothing had to be changed there other than to drag it to the backglass. I never did attempt to enlarge it either as that too was above my paygrade at that point.
I "think" I have something set wrong or turned off or whatever that is preventing the maze from being displayed.
Yes,I will gladly do you the favor you requested with the backglass and get back to you here later today when I have a bit more time. Thank you once again for jumping in here and working the problem. I am very grateful for your help. ![]()

Xenonph,
I downloaded your Eagles BG today and took a look.......
My setup with the dedicated DMD display( not a third monitor used as a DMD display ) isn't going to provide you the info your looking for as all my DMD info is directed to the dedicated DMD display rather than a location on the BG monitor that is going to be used as the DMD monitor.
Does that make sense to you at all?
By the way I love what you have done with the BG.......particularly love the blinking red eyes.

Thank you John.
I realize now that I had copied them settings over from the spanned version, so I know it can't be working right on them NFL MODs. I am reuploading all the FS versions without the spanned version DMD numbers in script...nobody has complained to me yet, and i keep asking if they are working correctly, but i never hear a thing from anybody, so I really dont know, seeings how I dont have a cabinet.
If you are using an actual DMD screen for your setup, I dont think you will be able to play babypacman on it. the DMD for Baby Pacman is huge and there is now way it would fit on your DMD screen. Just go look at the desktop versions and you will see what I mean. it isn't a regular DMD.
The DMD is supposed to cover most of the backglass, just the sides of the backglass are seen, the rest is the DMD.
Thanks again.
PS the method I decribed above is to place DMD on BG on your 2nd screen if thats what your screenres settings are set to.
The actual settings in that FS version of babypacman does not rotate the DMD for FS play.

So, I can get the display to totally show up on the back glass. It's there but I get garbled graphics, I have tried everything I have the right rom. The game on the back glass seems to be running and the display window is large enough to display the maze correct but no dice. I have tried it on two different computers one on the cabinet and the other on a desktop. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Do not use an external DMD, So, press F1 and make sure "Use external DMD" is not selected.

Baby Pac is one of the hybrid vid/tables that ONLY run with 32 bit vpinmame. It will not yet work in 64 bit.
