File Name: Demolition Man FS Alpha MOD VP916

File Submitter: teppotee

File Submitted: 03 Aug 2013

File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): bmiki75 (original)
teppotee / Aaron James (Alpha MOD)
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1994
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

MOD for bmiki75's Demolition Man table and released with authors permission.

NOTE: Use VP9.16 versions for the table to get the new "Additive Alpha-BI" flasher effects. Makes a huge difference!

What's new...
- Alpha flashers
- Alpha ramps
- New lighting / GI
- New physics
- Some new table objects like better led lights above ramps
- Slingshot flashers
- Bumper flashers
- B2B ball collision
- fixed few incorrect light mappings
+ probably some other stuff as well

There are 2 script options at the top of the script:
Const disableSlingFlashers = 0 -> set to 1 to disable slingshot flasher effects
Const disableLargeFlasherHalo = 0 -> set to 1 to disable the "larger than normal" halo around the red flashers.

Thanks to:
bmiki75 for creating the original table and allowing the release of this MOD
Huge thanks to Aaron James who helped tremendously with the physics and other settings to get the gameplay right!
JP for the new flasher domes / effects
+ anyone I might have accidentally forgotten... so if you see something borrowed in this MOD that you want credit for... just let me know :)

I hope you enjoy this one!

Regards,
-Teppo-

Can't play this til I get off work, but was wondering if while you are working on this if you could look into swapping the cars.  On my real steel table the police car is the one being chased and I believe that is correct as Stalone was chasing Snipes early in the movie.

In this release, I added my script to make the magna saves become the 2 red buttons on top of the handles. If anyone can't get it to work...lemme know.

This way, you can get all the secret/hidden modes and bonuses. :)

Plays great, guys! Just played a few games on it. That center ramp is a tight shot!

The ball is stuck after the wired ramps. Nudging can not remove the ball from this position.

How many times has that happened?

heya,

just tried the new table. The table looks good. I noticed a few things though:

1. You can nudge forever, there just is no TILT .. I am not sure its supposed to be that way ;)

2. The volume of voices is very low. Does it depend on music volume? because even with loud music I can barely understand anything that is said.

3. The table seems pretty hard, the speed for ramps is often not enough to make it all the way. Let me know the scores you guys achieved. So far I got nothing worth mentioning :)

As far as point three, this is EXACTLY how the right ramp SHOULD be.
It's a very high and steep ramp. With a correctly aimed shot from the flipper with a no ball roll you can still make it, but it's easier if the ball is already rolling. The left ramp is a little easier, but still sometimes tricky.
Keep playing, you'll find the "sweet spot
:-)
