File Name: Big Brave VP915 FS
File Submitter: jpsalas
File Submitted: 27 Apr 2013
File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)
Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1974
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is the Spanish version of Big Brave made by Maresa. It is a copy of Gottlieb's table from 1974.

Thanks to akiles5000 and elo_rey for the pictures of the real table and to elo_rey and FRMI for their VP tables, in which I based this one.

Also thanks to Popotte for allowing me to use his graphics from his FP table.

About this FS version: This table needs a B2S backdrop to be played in FS since the scores are not shown in rotated mode neither reels nor text boxes can be rotate in VP). So I upload this table is just so you can see how it looks in FS mode and it is a reference to htamas, who made the B2S table and backdrop, with the needed script changes,so go and download htamas table :)

Wow, awesome backglass image! But how can you do a UVP without a rom? This is an EM machine, not SS.

Thanks JPSalas! Great Table!

Just add it to the script .. there will be lights as shown on the attached pic. but no 'activity' .. it's better to have something showing up in yr cab than nothin' at all .. ;)

Cheers,

FD.

I saved the table with VP915, and since it uses one primitive, then I guess it doesn't work with VP914.

And I should like to know what kind of trouble people is having with VP915.

The only trouble I have seen is because of the new vbs scripts, and I wrote in my vpm scripts that the tables need the new script because of the ball size change.

All I have seen with VP915 is that is works better and faster than VP914.

Got a pretty well working dB2S backglass for this... the only thing that seems to be off is the match display. The table always gives a '0' match for me. I would expect 10, 20, 30 etc.

I looked in the script but wasn't entirely sure how to fix it. If jpsalas could correct the match feature, I can send the backglass and the changed table to him so he can approve and upload the update.

All right, time to sleep now :)

Cheers for the table JP! :drinks: Also thanks to the akiles, elo_ray and FRMI, and Popotte :good:  What a great table, lovely art style and the layout is a load of fun!!  The PF lighting and sound fx are also sweet as...

I love your new balls JP ( :lusty: ). Did you create a set of these using any alpha transparency like your old ball images?

Thanks again!

Hm... never mind my previous post about the match feature always giving 0... I must have been too sleepy :)

Since the match number is tied to the flipper usage and I tested the match display with not using the flippers at all, (just let the ball to drain), it gave me 0 all the time, heh. So nothing wrong with it.

I'll do a few more adjustments, then the table and backglass will be off to jpsalas for approval.

Big Brave was one of the first FP tables that I loaded onto my cab,one of Greywolf and Popottes, even before there was a version of VP that could be rotated and used full screen. Popottes artwork has always been top quality. I hope some more of these quality EM's come to light :D Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

No. The balls have no alpha transparency. They are in PNG format, but no alpha in them.

This is the set of balls I made:

Only the logo and the decal have alpha transparency.

It looks like I use mostly the ball4 :)
