Hello,

Because of not having a real pinball right on hand I do not know the correct position of the flipper buttons (to use the flipper fingers) on the left and right side of a pinball.
What is the distance of the flipper buttons to the front and the upper side of the pinball.

Further more, some pinballs (especially UltraPin) do have two of these buttons on each side. What is the reason for that?

Further more, what are the measures of the lockdownbar.

Thank you in advance! smile.gif

P.S.: How could I upload a jpg?

Please see the following image.

Especially I think of the length of the colour lines (red, blue, yellow).

re: why does Ultrapin have extra buttons? Some real machines have four flipper buttons.

@destruk
Thank you for the information.

@all
Does anybody know the mentioned measures / distances?
This is important for designing my upcoming cab.
My TV is about 8-9cm deep. The measures will decide if the button can be attached below the the TV or in front of the TV.

Well when I eventually design my cab, I'll be measuring the length of my fingers from the inside of my palm to the tips to make sure that I can reach the buttons and that they aren't too close. In your case, simply make the cabinet is a bit longer, (move the screen 'up' from the lockbar) so that the buttons do not interfere with the placement of the flipper buttons.

I have no idea where this came from, and I have no idea how accurate it is.

@kruge99
Thank you for your hints.

@Bendigo
Thank you for the image.
That is what I have searched for. smile.gif
In my opinion, the measures seem accurate and promising.
I think I will use 10cm and 7cm.

@all
Can the values provided by Bendigo be confirmed by somebody with a (modern) real one?
That would be very cool! smile.gif

The picture provided by bendigo is exactly correct according to my measurements on my real Twilight Zone.
Or in inches it would be 2 1/2 down and 3 1/2 from the front to the center of the button.

Good luck with your cabinet.

PLEASE NOTE - I HAVE DOUBLE CHECKED MY MEASUREMENTS SINCE I HAVE STARTED BUILDING MY OWN CABINET AND REALIZED THAT IN INCHES IT IS 2 1/4 DOWN TO THE CENTER OF THE BUTTON NOT 2 1/2.
SEEKER - MY DEEPEST APOLOGIES FOR THE MISTAKE. I CAN ONLY HOPE YOU HAVE NOT STARTED YOUR CABINET YET. I REALIZE THAT IF YOU HAVE BIG HANDS IT ACTUALLY WORKS OUT BETTER THOUGH.

Hi dendoh,

Thank you for the correction.
My measures for the distances are as follows: 65mm x 90mm

These fit very good for my hands/fingers and are very near to the measures in the pic and your data, thus never mind! smile.gif
