Is there a trick to getting the plunger working with VP tables.  So far I only have 1 table that worked and it was an accidental download (spanned not FS).

Here is my setup.

3 monitor

VP 913

Hyperpin

UVP

Backglass and DMD are working great this is our last task of hardware before getting all the tables on our list.

So far everything is working except plunger.  We can calibrate it just fine and the plunger works great in future pin.  I found a joystick.zip upon searching forums and it shows data.

Is there code to add to the script of a table?

Any help appreciated.

Many tables, especially newer tables, have the necessary scripting added already, but for other tables you may need to add it yourself.

There are a few different methods to accomplish this though, so depending on the table you want to modify, it may be easier to work with one method over another.

It would help to know which table you are trying to modify and then I could give you some assistance.

Our task was to get the top 50 of IPD working.  We can start with theatre of magic.

Would the plunger ever work on games with a launch button?

With launch games you need to use the button not the plunger.

Not everyone is a fan of Noah's tutorial, but it does work for me:

Well, if you really wanted to, you could modify the plunger scripting to use it inside 'launch games'...

And as far as Theatre of Magic goes, I have gone ahead and updated my 'Mirror Mod' based on JP's 2.1.1 to include my latest plunger code, so if you want, you can download that... http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=6697

Here is a link to a small table that includes the necessary objects, scripting, and instructions (in the script) on how to add it to a new table.

Thanks Koadic, that's an excellent "How To" table.
