To me that does not look like ultraDMD game

I do not think that it is, but for some reason, it seems to run ultraDMD just the same
Maybe something i have set wrong?
i run it, i see ultraDMD in process explorer
and those movable DMD parts you see laying on top of the table appear.

And they seemed to work just fine.

Course i guess the real question is, what have i done to make them run when they are not needed LOL

 

Add this to your DmdDevice.ini file
 

[alphanumeric]
enabled = false

When it starts does th eDMD say ultraDMD with the gopher coming up
 

Plus hit F1 turn off both DMD's

i may have done that on purpose actually, not that i remember how but
this pc i mess with stuff during the week in between working, and then when/if i have time on the weekend, i move the stuff i liked over to my desktop
with notes on what i set up for a given table.

Not sure, i get the same right click dialog on them as i do right clicking on the ultraDMD window when i run the config bat

 

I only have 2 tables that i think are actually meant to use it

AMH and Zelda
Zelda has a gopher thingy, AMH has, gargoyle? deformed gopher?
Both have the UltraDMD start up test though

Neither seem to show a score while playing
They do show credits and ball number in play, and do show the high scores
so maybe neither of those is actually sending a score to the DMD
Zelda has a non removable pseudo pinmame box on the table (regardless of desktop or cabinet mode) where it's score stays
AMH does not seem to show any score during play, but maybe that is by design on both?

Plays all the animations great though

Going to try JP's ghost busters table out
Maybe it gives scoring in the DMD

Can not replicate that part.
It keeps color checked, and i dont have hide virtual checked

But i do notice if you change colors, the display goes blank, you have to close it and reopen it.
but maybe that is normal.

If it makes any difference, on this PC, all i have done is installed the VPX AIO, and then copied his updated
files he attached here over the originals.

I did not try running an ultraDMD installer, last i tried that a while back it did not go so swell
and i could never get it to register in windows 10 x64, would just get an error that ultradmd.exe was not a valid net framework device, and then it quit working
Have reinstalled windows since then and never tried the ultradmd installer again

Looks like my testing yetsreday was remarkably shoddy even for me. Just tried the newest files from #529, and ran ultradmd -I. 

No scores shown on AMH, just ball number and players shown. Animations run ok.

AMH by my testing is not showing any scores while in play. also with a high score to input your initial's ENTER is not the key for the saving of initial's. on all other tables i have enter is the key for saving each initial input

I have also lost scoring on the two tables I tested this morning.  Americas Most Haunted and Wizard of OZ.  I am using the latest builds from yesterday afternoon.  

 

Update:  I replaced new files from above zip with Ultra and X DMD files from July 1 backup I have.  I also noticed that back on July 1 I did not have the ConfigureUltraDMD.bat file so I removed it from my installation.  Now I have my scores back!  So, something is definitely amiss with your latest builds.

It was the loading fonts on a thread that broke it.

Again, please let me know if scores are fixed (the 32 bit integer issue).

Update: Looks like it fixes it to me. So that is a nice step forward. Will fix those lovely JPSalas tables

 

It should also fixe the comma issue for people outside English speaking places.

The scores appear to be working and a saving for the Use full color is working
Apparently you have to click it then exit ---- I was clicking and saying OK

Ive done some more optimaztions. Some more fonts are cached in UltraDMD and XDMD now caches bitmaps.

That's pretty much everything reported to me and I can do on performance without rewriting a lot.

Make it so we get the menu when you double click the UltraDMD.exe instead of having to To right click the DMD to get it (That way you have access to the menu even if the DMD is hidden)
That way if somebody hides the DMD they have easy access to unhide it

 

Would it not be better just to show the menu as soon as it is launched?

 

I mean just when the exe is launched directly (not from within a table)? Would that no work?

That would work as long as the menu shows whether the DMD is hidden or not

Yeah, not really possible.

 

As for reregister, if your a pro no need, if not just run the installer, right?

 

Once I am sure it does not break any tables, I will contact Toxie.

 

I would appreciate more testing if people have time.

Scores are kinda working but not

In AMH there are times where ultraDMD stops showing anything
Though the realDMD is showing it.

Getting you a side by side screen shot
It will do that while playing, not sure what specific goings on instigates it.

Here is a good one, see ultra sitting there blank?
it also does that while playing as well.



 

And yet, on some other tables that use ultraDMD
it does not seem to mimic same behavior so far
Not sure what ghostly freakiness AMH is doing
