I think Stephen just does not realise the version is included with the installers and it is the variable width font version. Sure it will be sorted out soon.

Anyway here is an update. This time including UltraDMD which should resolve those three little things.

Copied the files straight over the top (after a backup) of my current ultradmd install and everything seems to work great (but i never really had a performance issue before - which is why i never got round to trying flex dmd)

I guess these files are the same the versions as the installer on gameex just without the other setup stuff which i don't need?

Hey Tom,

Thanks for PinballX.  I like it :)

I've had trouble with UltraDMD on America's Most Haunted.  Occasionally freezes up.  It may be the table causing it.  I think when that table came out there was a lot of hacking going on with people altering script to try and make it stable on various setups.  Other that that UltraDMD has worked pretty good for me.  Thanks for trying to update it.

Which America's Most Haunted game Are you using?

I am using 062018a.   I have a 062718a but it is not the one in my front end and it looks to actually be one day older than 018a.  I think based on my notes back when I installed it I tried to use an animated b2s that was buggy and required script changes.  I am now using a static b2s so I must have given up on the animation.

I installed Tom's new ultra/xDMD files.  Everything seems to be operating smooth!

Thanks for update.

Yeah there is a bandwidth limit per day for non registered users. Got to eat buddy.

As I said, I don't have a problem with my installers hosted elsewhere though. Never had.

The only change with that latest one was removal of vc runtime 2010 and I will still post the individual files here while its (hopefully) being tested.

tspeirs, I was actually talking about where to place the UltrDMD data files (ie all the directories under the tables dir for the UltraDMD files like Diablo.UltraDMD, etc.  I would like to put all those dirs under tables\ultradmd\diablo.ultradmd, etc.  Does that make sense?    Thanks

I dont think I can help with that. It would depend on where the table looks for the files wouldnt it?

You should run ultradmd -I though to register the changes to highscores. There is no harm running the installer though.

The path is built up, kind of dynamic, but, it should be possible to change.

Dim DirName
    DirName = curDir& "\" &cGameName& ".UltraDMD"

... what about "C:\VP\Tables\UltraDMD\" &GameName& ".UltraDMD" ??

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I used your new installer put it over my current version of ultraDMD And when I double click the ultraDMD.exe the DMD pops up

When I right click, The menu comes up plus another DMD window  (It never did that before)
Also when you try to click and save for color DMD it never saves

So I removed the whole folder re-installed with your installer

I no longer get the double DMD but you Still can not click on Use full Color at the top of the menu and have it save

If I click hide virtual DMD and Use full Color and click OK it saves all the settings in the Registry

If I go in to the registry change hide DMD to True, When you run the ultraDMD.exe the Use full Color is unchecked

I was able to put the installation anywhere I like

Ive not changed any of that so not sure what could be different. I did not implement the click to open the config but added a new shortcut to configure.

I do see you cant change full color though,

Yeah i can see something is up with the settings, Looking.

Got it. Sorted now.

Can someone test if scores are fixed please?

I may not be the person to test, but i tried 2 tables that use ultraDMD

America's most haunter, and JP's Zelda table

Both had ultraDMD animations showing, but i did not see any scores showing at all.
Just the aninmations box where it periodically also tells you about bonuses etc.

Nothing popped up for player score, or anything
I do not know if those were good tables to use as a test?

looking through my tables, i think those are the only 2 that use ultraDMD that i have?

most others are pinmame?

WAIT!

Seems Panthera will use ultraDMD if available, and it did have scoring components.
Now the real question is, Is this even what you are asking about?

And it did display the high scores, after i lost terribly :)

with wizard of oz  I had no score showing but animations were there for both games

Maybe it is the backglass?
maybe it has no scoring components in it?

I have backglass designer, id have to take a look and see i guess.
Cause Panthers is just fine if i wanted to use the ultraDMD

Table script slydog43 :)

About score and just images. Might it be related to v1 vs v2 ? DisplayScoreBoard vs DisplayScoreBoard00 ? Just a wild guess. I haven't really looked. Some tables does check for this, like TNA and Stranger Things SE. Kiss, I don't know, it has the dmd handling in external KissDMDv2.vbs. Minions only seems to use DisplayScore and only supports that. I can't really trust my scripts for these kind of things since they have been modified.

I do not think that it is, but for some reason, it seems to run ultraDMD just the same
Maybe something i have set wrong?
i run it, i see ultraDMD in process explorer
and those movable DMD parts you see laying on top of the table appear.

And they seemed to work just fine.

Course i guess the real question is, what have i done to make them run when they are not needed LOL
