If I could learn to leave well enough alone and keep my cabinet together long enough, I'd be grabbing one of these.
Don't pm or expect an answer from me here ... the links above are my contacts.
I know so much about so little that I could teach you all there is to know about nothing......

I have been pondering what benifit the RGB LED's for the flippers would actually be, (that and I dont have enough space to install them because of my monitor.) so I have decided to stick to my green theme and wire green LED's in the flipper buttons back to the Arduino. Now that idea frees up a couple of spare outputs from the LEDwiz, I decided to go a step further and use one as an input into the Arduino via a minature relay. Going to use the Hyperled to send a signal from the LEDwiz to the Arduino to light all the front control buttons, and ofcourse do some dancing sequences
, and when a table is selected, turns off genre, instruction and flyer lights, leaving the exit button lit.
So far it works a treat, although I need to do some extra testing with the software when I drop my playfield screen back in.
I will try and post a vid tonight of the control buttons doing thier thing.

Sounds awesome. The green flipper buttons look good, I'm sure. RGB buttons are kind of cool - but I find they don't hold their color on some tables. I've had them swap to other colors in the middle of playing a few tables, which is sort of odd. Still - buttons that match the table is kind of cool, but your plan sounds better

Cheers Darkfall, although I am very keen to see what you can do with your programming skills to one of these Arduino's. I am sure there is so much more that can be done, i.e. serial output from Hyperpin or VP to the Arduino to do a specific function etc as the LEDWiz fills up with our toys all too quick.

Sounds like it's shaping up nicely, be interested to see the video when it's posted.

So much for posting the vid the following night.....
But here its is. I have a little more to tweak with the Arduino code to ensure that when a table is loaded that only the Pause button is lit and to get a little creative with the centre LED on the side art, but its just down to coding now. No more wires....
I am using Darkfalls script to control LEDwiz when Hyperpin is running, (although its still in the testing stage I think) so that controls the Cree's on top and the relay to the Arduino which controls the sequence on the 4 Hyperpin control buttons.
