I believe all the VP9 tables should be converted to PM5.

And all should have STATs ball rolling sounds.

And all should have ball collision sounds for the multiball versions.

And all should have the best plunger available.

Basically All tables should have the best of the best.

I would guess that all the authors are moving on to VPX, and I feel the VP9 tables will not get the attention they so deserve.

It would be great to see all the VP9 tables converted to PM5.

I can dream can't I?

Keep on Pinballin'

If there is a wish list for PM5 conversions mine would have to be the custom tables over the years

Jp's

Spiderman,

Wolves of the sea

Wrath of Olympus

Also the Custom Metallica and ACDC tables, sorry don't recall who did those 2 tables I want to say the Dirty Donny Metallica was Haunt Freaks. *Edit Metallica was done by a host of people contributing.  Check the list on downloads if curious

Would those tables follow the same formula as mentioned to convert? or as most have ramps and such be more involved?

Don't dream.  Learn to convert!   It's not as impossible as it seems.

As others have posted, if you look hard enough you can find PM5 versions of almost every A-list table.   They tend to get shared in an ad-hoc manner since distributing table mods without explicit approval can generate a lot of drama.

I have never messed with physics, so it would be great to read up on all the information and learn how to do it.

I actually would like to see all tables with PM5. Even the B-List Tables.

You wouldn't think if someone was just converting the Physics, that the Authors wouldn't mind the conversion being available for all here if asked permission. Specially if it was someone who actually knows what they are doing. (We all know those few who do the best physics.) You wouldn't want someone like me who knows very little about it.

I would have to go through my list of tables to see just which ones haven't been converted to PM5. But I am guessing the list would be long.

Two tables I would love too see get a good PM5 treatment are Johnny Mnemonic and LoadedWeapons dark version of Dungeons and Dragons. Both are very very beautiful tables but the physics are wonky on both. I doubt there's a big rush to get either done in VPX either.

I've been converting a ton of EMs to PM5 for my own use. With simple tables it's really easy -- seriously! Just look at post #2 this thread. Tweak from there. Or, just start by electing flippers and giving them a strength of 1300 or so. I think anyone would be surprised at the do-ability of conversion.

Tables with complicated ramps are a different story to me so far!

BTW -- If anyone happens to download that El Dorado table I posted a few posts back, try lowering the slope to 4.8 or so. Plays a lot better!

Ben - open your dropbox wide. I love your el dorado pm5 mod and knowing you and your love for details ... i want - i want :-)

Missed this last post, will adjust tomorrow and swear at those targets. I've done one table half ready myself. Just haven't had the time to finish.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Thanks for the interest, guys. I only got permission from Loserman (Jeff) to upload that one table. You guys should convert any tables you like to PM5 for your own personal use. It's really easy in lots of cases!

Damn, I didn't save the message I got from him telling he was fine with me reposting his tables as PM5. Did you really ask if you could upload - or just ask for El Dorado ?

I'm very curious to see your personal touch to any table to be honest.

Does anyone have any advice on fixing issues with ramps in PM5. I was having a play around with the VP9 TX Sector and had it playing really well in PM5, but the ball get stuck on one ramp, as if a wall has appeared? Any help would be appreciated.

Look for Wall46 and make it non collidable and see if that does it.

It took me a few good hard throws in the debugger for the ball to fly off the ramp but it did.  So I adjusted Wall41 to go along side the ramp14 better and the ball stayed on the ramp.

Do you use the new PM5 that is from the 10.3 beta thread ?

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is related to my hardware problem, but, I seem to loose balls in the plunger from time to time.

Might be related to cranking up the mechanical strength.
