XP-32bit and 314.07 Beta drivers working fine so far... Started even GnR multiple times without problems yesterday and today. Haven't tried Congo. I will give it a try tomorrow.

When I first ran the "clean install" I got blue screen after restart -> I needed start in safe mode and delete the driver -> after doing the installation again it worked (and I only installed the display driver and nothing optional). May or may not make any difference.

I've always had freezes before with other than 270 drivers so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this combination would finally work...

My setup:

AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 3.0GHz (overclocked to 3.4)
4GB RAM
GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1024MB (separate Geforce card for my backglass)
Gigabyte 870 A-UD3 Mainboard

Windows XP

My test-for-hang-ups-table is Gottliebs Freddy. Usually not needed to test another table, results in an immediate freeze :(

Thanks for The F3 tip shanknitrate that might be useful one day, when I have have the nerves to try again ;)

Based on above and the other thread I think I will not bother to try the new drivers. That said, if a dev thinks it could be helpful for testing purposes I will give it another try.

Yes, Freddy freezes for me under 9.15 as well with the newer drivers. The F3 option isn't really ideal as you still have to wait for the CPU to catch up before it takes effect. Staying on 270.61 is probably a better option unless the newer drivers work for you - the benefits of FXAA aren't really that great. I prefer to have it turned off anyway.

It sure does. I think there may be something to completely removing the previous nVidia drivers as I went from:

314.07 working in VP9.14 with every table except GnR, 9 tables freezing in 9.15.

270.61 every table working in both.

314.22 (supposedly clean install) 9 tables freezing in both 9.14 and 9.15, though GnR did work on the first attempt.

I haven't gone back to test out 314.07 again yet.

Yea I normally dont run ball shadows but I turned it on and tried a bunch of tables fps stayed the same even on checkpoint_HD so I dident notice anything. Maybe something with windows XP. Freedy runs really good over 500fps .

I did notice one table not working right but it wont even work right with Rev442 and thats my Monopoly .. the fps is over 3000 but looks jacked up..

So, as we're getting closer and closer to a release, we need to try and take care of all of the existing bugs...

The only one I can reliably reproduce is the one mentioned by JimmyFingers... if you force AA through the nVidia driver, certain tables will have drawing issues with alpha ramps such as Jimmy's PinBot mod. It is working in 360 but broken in 361, and if I replace pin\player.cpp in 361 with the one from 360, it works like it should.

That's weird, it is working just fine for me, spent the better part of the morning/afternoon testing it out...

Does the 'Exit Game' button work? mapped to the Q key by default...

(and link updated...)

What happens if you open the keys menu and toggle the 'Disable Esc' box on and off... does the esc key work after that?

Ok, I'll look into why it's happening, at least that helps narrow down possible problems
