Buck Rogers FS VP9 DX9
Buck Rogers by Gottlieb (1980)
Thanks for being patient. It tooks two more days to bring this one to an end. So here it is, the Buck Rogers FS table (desktop version will follow tomorrow). First of all: I'd like to thank the whole testing crew: The Loafer, Shadowsclassic, Arngrim, dboyrecords, naboodiver, gtxjoe, ICPjuggla and Fuzzel. Without those guys it wouldn't have been gone that fast. Do you remember, in my first WIP post I promised the release for end of September...
So please take the time and read this before contacting me: This table needs VP9.9 in order to work correct. There's no right slingshot - yes, there is one, but without an active shoot-back- functionality. This is also on the original table, I tried to come as near as possible to the original. Please turn on sound (not tone) in the sound settings of the option menu (via F6). Otherwise the table does awful ding-dong-ding sound. You might find some bugs (as my tables always had in the past). If you find some abnormal behavior, please contact me and I'll fix it. Releasing the table doesn't mean "It's done and that's it".
Credits go to:
Shadowsclassic, Naboodiver, Arngrim, dboyrecords, Fuzzel, The Loafer, gtxjoe, ICPjuggla: Thanks for all the testing
Luvthatapex: DIP switch routines
JPSalas: Lamp routines, flash routines, some sounds
Koadic: Plunger code and images
Noah: nudging routines
mfuegemann : sound routine
Uncle Willy: primitives and templates for bumpers, posts, slingshots
Zany: primitives (screws and stuff)
The Hunter: Thanks mfor the pics
all others: Thanks for keeping the hobby alive.
Permission to mod: Yes, absolutely - no permission required for using all resources of this table for whatever
Final thanks to dboyrecords, who's done the VP8-to-VP9 conversion and who encouraged me to build this table

What's New in Version 1.0.2 (See full changelog)
- added desktop version (now one script for both versions)
- better nudging and tilt behavior
- added darker rubber for night-mode
- added brighter lane guides for day-mode
- fixed perspective in FS table
- fixed some smaller bugs
Words can't describe how awesome this is over the original release.
Beautifull !!!! Great JOB!!! Thanks a lot !!!. But dont narrow de tables at the top! Real Pinball tables have a size of 52cm at the top and 52 cm at the bottom...The normal view of our eyes gives the perspective, narrowing it at top of playfield when it is horizontal in the cabinet. ¿is your kitchen table a trapezoid or is it a rectangle? Lot of author do the same and it is wrong. Think about it... [email protected]
Yes, Thanks .... I'll think about it.
... I've thought about it. I build my tables as I want to build them, and as I want to see them on my cab. I'll share them to the community, so everybody can benefit from my work. If you want to use them, use them - if not, then not. If you want to change something, simply change it, it's 60 seconds work to change the perspective, not more.
My kitchen table has the form of a kidney, maybe that's the root cause...
jajajajajjajajja a kidney! you were very funny!
I understand and I know that every author builds the tables as he wants to build them. And If you 've thought about that, and will not change the perspective, I will, because I think that the playfields made of a piece of wood or made in a LCD screen must be rectangular.
I like, thank and enjoy your job...just wanted to share my opinion to improve the community work. Don´t missunderstand me. The written word may be taken in a wrong way, but it wasn´t my intention...
BTW...my table´s kitchen is round! ![]()
I always listen to other people´s advice.
I work for the pinball community too, and share my work with everybody. I´ve worked with someone of your country: Martin Brunker. I took 2 Gb of photos and videos of my real SEAWITCH and sent him to make the FP table.JPs BK has some plastics and behavior of my BK... JP´s BLACKOUT has the pictures of my real pin. Last week I changed my working BLACKOUT by a not working but better looking HOT DOGGIN. The real pins that I buy are out of order. I repair them and then share their pictures with the community. I was asked to take photos of my HOTDOGGIN to build it in VP and I will during next days. I dont know how to make VP tables, but I know how to repair real pinballs, and I found the way to contribute to our hobby.
Take care!
Jolo. (Playcade)
Sindbad, you've done it again, this is a fantastic table. Thank you
I like the night mod best.
I couldn't find a b2s Backglass on VPforums but ther is one here, for those interested: http://vpuniverse.co...sgottlieb-1980/
Thanks for the link

OK so I have a question.
How do you change the perspective in 60 sec?
I'm just wondering so maybe I try it both ways and see which suits me best.
Its an awesome table and something I could never do so don't think I'm being negative, it's just interesting to me.
Ok, changed the backdrop settings in 68 seconds, missed the goal...
So try this:
Inclination 0
XScale 1,32
YScale 2,05
X-Offset -430
Y-Offset 60
@Playcade: I understand your wish, but presently it's impossible to change the backdrop settings by a script during run. So I have to provide the table with the backdrop settings that look best on my cab. But for the next table, I provide the backdrop settings for a non-trapezoid table in the header of the script as remarks. So I hope, everybody will be happy.
Heino
Thank you very very very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your work is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C !!!!!!
I Appreciate you will provide backdrop settings for the next tables.
Take care!
Jolo.
