Medieval Madness Flashers Williams Full Screen Cabinet

Screenshots
This is my first table contribution to the community so please be gentle :)

After seeing the new flashers included in the latest AFM beta from JP Salas, I thought I'd have a crack at modifying one of my favorite tables with these new flasher objects.

Because they allow 255 steps of progression from off to full bright they look a lot better (IMHO) than the traditional alpha ramp flashers which only support 4 levels from off to on.

Included in the archive are two versions of the same file.

One is designed for cabinets that have a flush mounted playfield monitor (flush) and one for the more traditional sunken playfield monitor.

The flush version contains side rails and a glass overlay (several of them) to give a greater impression of depth and flashers that are placed on the sidewalls, wireforms etc. to mimic the internal space of a cabinet.
The sunken version does not have side rails or the glass textures activated as the playfield is already under glass.  It does however include the side wall flashers and the same flasher outlay as the flush version.

This was put together with VP 9.2.1 - Rev 923 but also seems to work great in the latest dev DX9 version of VP.

Both versions of the table are currently configured with the profanity rom so if you are using a different version simply mod the entry in the script where vpinmame calls the associated rom.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, if there are any bugs or feedback please do so in associated thread.  I'd also like to thank JP Salas for his awesome support with some of the scripting battles I came up against :) and for the original table. Also to Aaron James for doing the night mod that this is based on.

Dozer.

What's New in Version 1.3 (See full changelog)

  • Rolled all changes into 1.3
  • Included both Day / Night versions of Sunken/Flush formats.
  • 1.3 contains some GFX fixes as well so original night mod version users are urged to upgrade to this 1.3 final version.

I also need to know what I need to play this table. I run on my PC and can play cabinet tables since I can rotate my monitor. :)

Hope for help. Thanks!

This table runs ok for me, but the lights don't seem to turn off! They stick on, and then finally disappear when the ball rolls through the glow effect...

vp9.2.1 and a nvidia GT640. If I turn off "Region Updates" it works ok...  Any suggestions?

My VP also crashes when I try to load it ?

Make sure your using most recent version of VP and try updating DirectX to DX9

grazie

dozer316 did you change the pshycis of the table ?me and my girlfriend play this table alot going from 1.2 to 1.3 there is a change in ballspeed that we feeling can this be ?

Table looks awesome and plays a lot more like a real machine.

Thanks a for all the effort.
