Medieval Madness Flashers Williams Full Screen Cabinet

Screenshots
This is my first table contribution to the community so please be gentle :)

After seeing the new flashers included in the latest AFM beta from JP Salas, I thought I'd have a crack at modifying one of my favorite tables with these new flasher objects.

Because they allow 255 steps of progression from off to full bright they look a lot better (IMHO) than the traditional alpha ramp flashers which only support 4 levels from off to on.

Included in the archive are two versions of the same file.

One is designed for cabinets that have a flush mounted playfield monitor (flush) and one for the more traditional sunken playfield monitor.

The flush version contains side rails and a glass overlay (several of them) to give a greater impression of depth and flashers that are placed on the sidewalls, wireforms etc. to mimic the internal space of a cabinet.
The sunken version does not have side rails or the glass textures activated as the playfield is already under glass.  It does however include the side wall flashers and the same flasher outlay as the flush version.

This was put together with VP 9.2.1 - Rev 923 but also seems to work great in the latest dev DX9 version of VP.

Both versions of the table are currently configured with the profanity rom so if you are using a different version simply mod the entry in the script where vpinmame calls the associated rom.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, if there are any bugs or feedback please do so in associated thread.  I'd also like to thank JP Salas for his awesome support with some of the scripting battles I came up against :) and for the original table. Also to Aaron James for doing the night mod that this is based on.

Dozer.

What's New in Version 1.3 (See full changelog)

  • Rolled all changes into 1.3
  • Included both Day / Night versions of Sunken/Flush formats.
  • 1.3 contains some GFX fixes as well so original night mod version users are urged to upgrade to this 1.3 final version.

It crashed on the 9.2 software I downloaded from vpforums two months ago. So I replaced the .exe with Kodiak's latest update from four days ago, and it ran perfectly. Scored over 63 million on my first game! Grand Champ!

ok so basically, you need one of the latest releases to play this... Reckon it may help people new to VP like me, to mention that in the file name or in large friendly letters, that this wont work with any old 9.2. Dozer does mention this in the table description that it was put together with 9.2.1 rev 923 but didn't actually say it wouldn't work with earlier versions, maybe wasn't tested in earier version.

I'll update my .exe and try again later tonight, cause I love MM :)

92mb and 73mb table files...zipped up even.  I LOVE IT!!!!

error line 1 controller! Any help?

great job , but the view is kind of strange , i mean the cab seems not wide enough (camera position)

thx for the release

I have the same problem, Scared Stiff same way.  Playfield does not take up the entire width of the screen, and looks pinched.  The new lighting effects look amazing but the view makes it unplayable.

I have been searching for 3 days for the correct program to play this file, without success.  Why can't someone post a link to download the proper version of VP9.2?  That would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

On my older table/vp version, it was way easier to shoot the castle with the right flipper. Is this a question of vp version ?

the first version was fine, now i have "block light effects".

Hello,

great table, very nice :)

My config is a intel i5, two graphic cards (GT 400 series) and 16 GB of RAM.

My OS is WIN7 64.

I have constant lags with the ball in game...

What can i do to resolve it?

Thanks.

PS: Sorry for my bad english :)
