6 Votes
Data East 1991 Star Trek 25th Anniversary with working animation with hi-res backglass.
Two versions are available
Back Lit version has fantasy animations
The other has Authentic animations.(Which is my favorite of the 2)
Special Thanks to darquayle for an much nicer looking grill and his added tweaks.

Very, very cool! Looking better all the time. I agree with uberpinball, not sure how the actual backglass "transports", but this one happens so fast you barley have time to look up to see it. The only other thing I noticed is that you have the Next Generation speaker grill the version Wildman release has the actual 25th anv. grill however his animation cell is very grainy. Not complaining here just trying to help out. Love that you are putting so much time into this very deserving pin.
Thanks for the tips.
I will be updating this soon as I can. I will make a back lit version with that Back Glass and update this one with some slower animation.
Not sure how slow it should be so I may need some testers on this.
Thanks again
Great Job!
For testing, I tweaked it with the following settings and it seems about right...
Changed Interval in MS to 120 (tripled it)
Changed Step 1 to Wait 22 (reduced it to 1/3 original)
Changed Step 6 to Wait 90 (reduced it to 1/3 original)
All other steps remained the same.
This keeps your start and stop the same, but makes your intemediate steps 3x longer.
First off the table looks awesome now!
The animation, during the system test seems to go at a nice rate. Unfortunately, since I want to activate the transporter during a game I have been totally mental blocked. I have played at least 50 games this afternoon and every time I get the transporters to full power I drain the last ball before I can activate them, LOL. Really frustrating, but that's what you get when try too hard. Maybe uberpinball or darquayle can chime in with a more successful test. Very, Very pleased with the look of the backglass this game has defiantly risen to one of my top tables for the cab! Thanks R-Dub and all those that have put so much effort into the B2S backglasses!

Won't get to it till Saturday as I'm at the MI pin expo. That animation is a tricky one to replicate.
It can be and I have completely redone the animations for the non-back lit version.
I have made it very close to the real machines animations.
When I have time, both versions of the back glass will have the authentic and fantasy animations to choose from.
For now the back lit has the fantasy animations
and the non- back lit has the authentic animations

Hmm...just to be clear, I just tested the new files out. The 'darker' backglass that I provided you, it's considered the lighted one since it acts like a real backglass with the bulbs turned on behind it, that one's animation is perfect in my opinion. Great job. The original backglass, which you had with your first release, the animation looks like a work in progress...still better, but not like the darker, backlit, glass.
So I would say..
The backlit, darker backglass has the great animation.
If you watch videos of the back glass animation, it is closer and more like the non- back lit.
I will eventually put bot types of animation on both BG so the You can choose one way or the other.
I was told by many others that the non-lit BG looks better and more crisp and so I gave it the animation it has.
If you like the dark BG best and think it has the better animation, what is the problem?

Pretty nice!
A few suggestions:
Can you possibly fade the animation a little slower? They slowly fade in the B2S version.
Try to find the updated, high resolution backglass image made by Grizz. See if Piggei's helps http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=7706
Edit:
Here, try this image. It's a HD pic of the backglass with 'lights on'. It has no crew so you can add your cutout of the crew in.
You might have to add more layers of the crew disappearing to get the slower effect.
