I don't get it--why won't the ball launch?

As soon as I hit start, it gets stuck in the launch lane, and no matter how long I hit the plunger button, the ball won't launch.

I know I'm hitting the right button, since it plays the spring-back sound when I let go...

Same probleme here,even Dr. Dude,Elvira Party Monsters.

How can i fix that?

My ball has a habit of hopping the wall near the left ramp. Great design otherwise.
