Knockout (Bally 1975)
This is the Wide Screen day version. I will release a 4:3 version eventually of this table,I just have to catch my breath, it might be in a couple of days.
I need to thank Ash for his original VP version and giving me permission to use his work (he also gave blanket permission to the community to use his work with proper credit for non-profit)
I also need to thank JPSalas for all of his techniques and artwork that I use, without his stuff, this table would look similar to the VP editors new table.
I want to thank Freddie for getting me started on this table and Grizz for making me the playfield to use as a base. I also used Rawd’s formula for adding hit sounds to the walls and I used the magnet stuff from his table that Rascal helped him. Thanks to Noah for taking great pics of this table, all artwork was taken from his pics and also thanks to Eala who posted a full table image made from these pics, which I think Grizz used to make the playfield.
This table uses the JP plunger based on Rascal’s creative idea where the plunger is made of balls that have a plunger image on them that move back and forth….
My images are all 1024, I was almost finished when I realized I should have worked with larger images, but live and learn. I replaced all lettering for sharpness, the font looked pretty close to me.
I noticed that I made this WS version more up and down, it's not inclined so much, I guess I've been playing too much Full Screen lately. It really was hard to get use to this Desktop version and I couldn't handle the normal inclination that I use to use.
I have owned this table since 1976, it’s in my basement covered with boxes and stuff, I turned it on once in the last 15 to 20 years, that was to check to see if you could visibly see the bumper rings when the bumpers were hit. Pacdude said you couldn’t, but he was wrong. I did go down and turn it on a few times while creating this table to check out some things. I added some gameplay that was missing from the original VP release, like the Extra Ball light and Free Ball light rotating On & Off with the spinner spins.
I’ve always wanted to do a VP recreation of this table, but after Ash released his version, it took me a long time to develop enough VP editors skills to compete.
