What's New in Version 2.4.3 (See full changelog)

  • 2.4.3 Updated 3 May 2013
  • - Fixed light insert graphic error introduced in 2.4.2
  • - Fixed alignment of the left slingshot
  • - Fixed image on 2 gates
  • 2.4.2 Updated 28 April
  • - Fixed new bug introduced to the castle bridge
  • - Some small graphic changes (playfield, ramps)
  • Revision 2.4.1
  • - Fixed the castle's gate. Now it works 100%
  • Revision 2.4.0
  • Those are the changes I had planned for this table:
  • - make the trolls register a side hit and you should need less power to hit them.
  • - slower castle main gate movement and in sync with the rom sound (fixed the solenoid call)
  • - smooth trolls up/down movement (they still move up/down very fast, it didn't feel right to make them go up/down slower, but now they shake when they reach the up position)
  • - smooth castle iron gate movement (done using a primitive)
  • And I ended up adding these changes too:
  • - New playfield, original from Francisco666, with many corrections by ClarkKent
  • - New plastics
  • - New color change for the castle and towers (ClarkKent)
  • - New Damsel castle (ClarkKent)
  • - New lights
  • - New fading GI on playfield and plastics
  • - Fading flashers at the bottom of the ramps
  • - New decoration on top of the flipper lanes, the archers
  • - New flashers
  • - New sounds as in my latest tables
  • - New trolls using 2 primitives for each troll, which allow for better up/down movement and shaking when hit.
  • - New logo on top of flippers, also using primitives
  • - New dragon (with color adjustments by ClarkKent)
  • - Fixed the ladder textures so it doesn't look broken.
  • - + a lot of script changes, b2b collisions, rubber sounds, ball rolling sound, JimmyFingers tap flipper addon, etc
  • - enhanced: purple flashers on the backwall: they didn't have red domes at the shop so I fitted purple ones :)

Nice job! Great table!

Hi! Just started using Visual Pinball, and I'm in love! Got this as my second table.

Enjoying it very much, but I found out one thing: the DMD doesn't up! Any ideas?

my second favourite after terminator 2

doesn´t work. "wpc.vbs version 3.37 or higher required".
i have version 3.43, and doesn´t work.

and... by the way... 95 mb for a table! that´s madness.

make it for VP8, that worked better, no problems, no conflicts...

VP9 is... (I won't say it, just imagine)

Salas man, you´re a perfect designer, an aesthetic... but all your tables FEEL like you´re playing the same game.

I don´t mean LOOK, that´s perfect, the mechanics, lights, ramps, all that... beautiful, every cared detail.
I love that. I'm in Buenos AIres, Argentina, here we used to have REAL pinballs, not now.

all broken, expensive maintenance, etc.

and I really miss REAL pinballs, the ones you shake, even kick, and you blame for or grace for.

I'm nearly 51 and I play pinballs since I was 10, and I know exactly the diferecence between a Williams and a Gottlieb.

we know the look, we know the rules, but the FEEL is something you can´t explain... the flow, the speed.

Scapino understood that feel, and his tables FEEL like real, maybe that's the reason he retired from "adapting everything to the last version".

it's hard to explain, but please, to anyone who read this, play Count Down from Scapino, for VP8... that's a REAL Gottlieb, you FEEl it.

I'm a designer, in other areas, and a pinball fan from a country where the f*** PlayStation rules. I carried my young daughters to play pinball and they loved me for that. I´ll never forget their eyes when they saw that things really EXIST.

The same eyes I got when I was a kid and begin to feel the difference between a Willaims and a Gottlieb.

You're awesome, JP. Just was a THANK YOU, with a critic, and and my f*** Scorpio character.

Sometimes I write things like this and they ban the comment, never knew why.

My saluttes to JP, Scapino, the Pacdude, Eala Dubh, Incochnito, and all the community...

not much more to say now, i'm [email protected]

just a fan, don´t care

and thank you all for years of sleeplessness :)

I'm having a few issues with this table, where various textures behind the castle appear in solid light grey rather than the expected images. Is anyone else experiencing this, and is there something I can adjust to correct it? It seems like too obvious an issue to not have already been reported.

Is there any way to change the dimensions of this table.

I am playing on a 4:3 monitor set at 1280 x1024 in a horizontal attitude and the table and flippers seem very narrow.

Unlike the screenshot which looks the correct proportions.

Tried using 9.9.1 and 9.1.5 with the same reults

Thanks!
