Metal Man and The Mongoose are a spinoff within the wider Wolf Haven universe, from the Lunar Howl series. Those who have been following the stories and wider franschise material at the website will know who these guys are.
 
Brian and Phil first arrived at Wolf Haven because they were a musical duo with a gimmick and they had heard of a successful band with a gimmick of being wolves. This resulted in an awkward moment when the fact the girls actually ARE wolves became clear to everybody, accompanied by a shout of "Let go of my ears, Idiot! It's not a mask!"
 
Brian dressesd up in a cardboard robot costume as "Metal Man" and Phil wears a mongoose onesie he found online. Otherwise they are ordinary guyrs who happen to perform dark country and blues.
 
Their songs are all tiny domestic tragedies presented as global catastrophies, with a straight face.
 
You can't take yourself too seriously. Let these two twits do that for you. I hope you get a good laygh out of these songs. I had a blast writing them all.
