Bugs Bunny’s Birthday Ball is the only pinball machine ever licensed by Warner Bros. / Looney Tunes, and is truly the ultimate cartoon collectible! Created for the 50th anniversary of Bugs Bunny, this game has some of the cutest artwork and best sound we've seen or heard! Most of the Looney Tune characters are represented throughout the game. You'll see and hear Bugs, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and many more throughout the game, including the original WB theme song from the original TV show!

Bugs Bunny's Birthday Ball - Release 0.9b, by Shep (Feb 2002)

WARNING: this table makes extensive use of decals. If you fiddle with the viewing angle, or use display modes with whacky aspect ratios, things might look screwy!!
You have been warned....
The dedications on the original table artwork read as follows:
"With Special Thanks to Chuck Jones, Fritz Freleng, Robert McKimson, Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, Mel Blanc, and all of the Warner Bros. Animators who have brought so much happiness and laughter to the world throughout the years"
"Special Thanks to Dan Romanelli, Luana Chambers, Chatherine Sollecito, Lisa Margolis, Kelly Lindsey, Bob Kirk"
VP Requirements:
----------------
- Visual Pinball Tech Beta 4 or higher

This is my first VpinMAME release. The project was started in November 2001, and has so far taken well over 100 hours of work (probably closer to 200) to get it into this state. It still has a few flaws, but not too many ;-)
The graphics were jigsawed together from over 20MB of original table photography.
Paint Shop Pro 7 is my weapon of choice :-)
Table blueprints, documentation, and mechanical sound effects grabbed from shivasite - http://www.hippie.net/shivasite/
Known issues:
°°°°°°°°°°°°
Reverse-angle playing field isn't as steep as the original. This was done to aid visibility, but has perhaps made shots to the tweety slide a little easier than they rightfully should be :-(
The original machine has a short ramp to drop balls down into the reverse field. I scrapped this, as the visual pinball equivalent slowed down the gameflow a lot. It might return in some form for the next release.
Support for under-the-plastics flashers (and the LOONEY TUNES lights) is preliminary. More of this kind of thing in the next release.
Leaky Taz ramp.
AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!
more stuff that escapes me right now...

If you enjoy this table, please hunt down a real-world pinball
machine (any game will do), and play a couple of games on it.
You can then consider this table officially registered ;-)

Mod 0.91 by Jive (June 01, 2003):
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
- Lights added on eggs and dogs
- Eggs moved on the playfield and resized
- Plunger "kickback" is now active (bug): the trigger "out1" was out of fonction. I have used it to activate the plunger.
- "Table Information" full filled. No more external files are needed, since their integration in this table. No more ".ini" file.
Mod 1.0 by Jive (Feb 26, 2009)

TAB released a fantastic scanned playfield on Feb 2009. I used it here and there, using some parts of it.
So many changed were done that I decided to put the version of the release on "1.0" :
- A bunch of New pictures (98%)
- New lights being flashing letters
- Gameplay improved (flippers settings tweaked)
- All cibles redesigned and moved
- New decals
- Cabinet added, using a trick of mine based on the PacDude's method
- I had to resize the backdecal and to move all the lights on it, so that it's now included within the box, and not anymore above it.
- New design for the background
- Bumpers colors and pictures changed (there are 3 different colors, and not only red one: red, yellow and blue, melted), shadows removed for less dark area
- The pinball box was totally remade, so that it's containing now the background picture "backdecall", like the real pinball
- "pepeflash" and "porkflash" were wrongly named "PEPE_TRIGGER" and "porktrigger", and placed on the base of the playfield, totally invisible. They were made for nothing else than a forgotten idea...
- Launch area deeply changed
- I had to raise the topflipper, the ball being able to pass above it sometimes (yes: above!!)
- New apron, completely rebuilt by me, picture by picture.
- New gate for the middle and the right ramps
- A lot of other little changes
- The mini table of the upper left has been redesigned and remowrked in term of gameplay, and a slingshot has been added, like for the real pinball
- Thanks to "wtiger", a Vpf.org member, giving to me fantastic pictures, I improved greatly the new apron.
The size of the folder containing the 133 pictures being used for this pinball table is sized 70 Mb on my computer...

Great stuff Jive. The table might not appeal to those who want a real challenge, but the new look is much appreciated
