Download Twilight Zone (Scapino) 1.2.0

Lots to do in this classic!
Third Release v1.2
This release fixes a bug with the GI lighing on newer versions of VPMame.
*****
Second Release v1.1
Made sure that the sync level defaults to 0 instead of 30. This gave me a great improvement in the smoothness of ball movement.
Thanks to PacDude for this info!

First Release v1.0
This one was almost as hard as Circus Voltaire! Its very complex, and testing it is a real challenge, as there is so much to do, and so much stuff that is intertwined.
So heres it us. It plays very well for a first release. You will find occasionally a ball will disappear into the "twilight zone
", in which case you can hit the "b" key to add a ball to the trough. If you need to, you can add more then 1.
You can hit the "m" key to make the menu show up. Then use the Up Down arrow keys to select a item to change. And use the Left/Right keys to change the item. Hit "m" again when you are done. Your settings are saved for the next time you run the table. If you change the game rom, you will have to quit and restart the game.
On this table, you can hide the overlay images, in the menu selection, overlay.
You can also adjust the left and right outposts to E easy, M Medium, H Hard.
You can also switch between Fadeing lights and Instant On/Off lights.
Also I put in 2 settings for the plunger. The old way works with just the return key/hold release.
The new version uses the up and down arrow keys to select a strength, and return releases the ball.
Enjoy Twilight Zone, and dont hesitate to mention any problems you might have with it, and I'll see
if I can fix it for the next release.
*****
Special thanks to PacDude and everyone else who recreated this table in the past.
This version would ABSOLUTLY NOT have been possible without your hard work,
and attention to detail!
Enjoy Twilight Zone!

Which ROMS are needed to play ? All those at http://www.ipdb.org/...earchtype=quick ?
this is great!
Every time I finish LITZ, it loses a ball somewhere trying to reload the gumball machine. Pressing B just makes it overfill the gumball machine and crash VP with a Subscript Out of Range error. I'm using 8.1.
sometimes the ball rolls weird,no chance to get it..but great graphics!
Any idea as to why the image of this table comes up all scrambled for me? I can play the table fine, and everything works, the image is just all scrambled up.
You rock scapino
The image shows that you are using 9.4h rom. I have the same 9.4h rom, but Free Only message is not shown. What did you set?
Great table Many Thanks.
This table looks beautiful, and is playable. However, unlike other TZ emu's I've played, every time the ball falls in the Rocket (including at the start of every ball that doesn't miss the skill shot), the thing shoots it out so weak that instead of bouncing around the jet bumpers, it rolls off a little guard rail on the way - virtually every time. You then can hit it with the side flipper into the jet bumpers, but in the process, in so doing it has a tendency to drain, Also, I have real difficulty hitting the slot machine when desired; to the effect that when I get the Super Slot mission, I usually can succeed in hitting it only once after getting the mission. In the other TZ emu's I've played, I can usually hit it 3-5 times. Also, the magnets in the "Battle the Power" mode seem too strong, such that just tapping the flipper causes the ball to go back and forth over them a few times, unlike the other TZ tables. I can sometimes defeat the power, roughly as often as on other tables, but I can't seem to keep it in play as long, thereby acquiring fewer points.
This may be because I'm unfamiliar with the table, but of course, I'm quite familiar with the other TZ emus. Perhaps the real machine is harder than the other emus, since with much practice, I can get "Lost In The Zone" maybe one out of every 4-10 games. If the real machine is this way, then more power to Scapino; but I suspect it's not. This is a beautiful table - better looking than the other TZ's, but IMHO, it could use some real playability improvements. I consider the underpowered Rocket launcher to be the most frusterating issue. I encourage Scapino to undertake these improvments, because the other TZ's I've played are rather dark, and hard to see many of the details in. I also love using the up and down arrows to set the strength of the skill shot; which is a bit more like a real machine. I love to see a version of this table, first: with playability as close to the real machine as feasible, but second: lacking that, playability improvements as I've outlined.
