Based on the table Paradise by Gottlieb from 1965.
VPX8 table and graphics by me, using images found on the web.

There is already a DOF config (maybe for an old VP9 version) : but all events numbers begins by 2 not 1 (ex : 201 not 101).
Flipper Left is configured with the event number 201.
Flipper Right is configured with the event number 202.
So yes, a new config must be created.

One of my favorite tables. I've kept VP9 going pretty much just for the old version of this table, so it's great to have a modern version.
