The sequel to my first VPX table, the Spellcast Machine. A new mystical device designed to create magic, the Conjury Contraption will train you to master the three types of complex sorcery: battle magic, psychic magic, and reality bending. Change between the three modes to master three spells in each, all while undergoing sorcery trials and uncovering the secrets of magic.  
 
Another original made entirely by me. I designed the rules and concept and wrote the script; I painted the playfield by hand, as well as all of the tarot cards and some other pieces; other smaller art pieces and screen animations were made with AI; I composed and performed the music; I made the models in Blender.    
 
MODES:  
 
You can swap between Battle, Psychic, and Reality Bending mode any time you start a new ball or conjure an item in the center of the table. Lights will stay lit between modes. Winning a quest will award you a points haul based on mode values increased by table objects that are unique to each mode. Objects within the circular playfield will raise the value much faster. You won’t see these points unless and until you complete a mode. The longer you survive a single mode, the more it's worth when you finish it. 
 
BATTLE MAGIC:  
 
This mode will train you to harness the elements to use deadly spells against your enemies: fireball, ice blast, and curse. Raise the mode value by shooting the Snowflake, and raise it even faster by spinning the Skull and Crossbones.  
 
Fire Magic: 
 
Shoot the left lane to spell FIRE, then gather flames from the burning bumper. Finally, shoot the left orbit that’s now flooded with lava to fill the heat meter and cast Fireball.  
 
 
Ice Magic: 
 
Shoot the center lane to spell FROST. Then shoot the snowflake gate to chill your ball to subzero temperatures. Shoot any of the three ramps to freeze it with Ice Blast. Repeat to freeze the rest of the ramps and master Ice Magic.  
 
Bane Magic:  
 
Shoot the right ramp to spell BANE. Then shoot inside the circular playfield to conjure poisons. Shoot the Skull and Crossbones disc to light the back orbit of the circular playfield, then shoot the orbit to raise toxic targets. Shoot four targets to light the Bane ramp and cast Curse.  
 
PSYCHIC MODE:  
 
This mode will teach you to wield psychic powers. Learn telekinesis to lift matter with your mind, learn hypnosis to cast spells of illusion, and learn fortune telling to see into the future. Raise the mode value by spinning the white humming vortex that hovers above the bumpers and raise the value much faster by shooting the ritual candles in the circular playfield.  
 
Mind Magic:  
 
Shoot the left ramp to spell MIND, then shoot the left or right ramp quickly to lift the crystals telekinetically. Don’t let them gravity pull them back down! Keep shooting until you master telekinesis.  
 
 
Illusion Magic:  
 
Shoot the center ramp to spell Hypno. Then spin any of the hypnotic spirals that appear on the table. The more you spin, the more ramps will be lit. Shoot a lit ramp to cast Psychic Mirage to confuse your enemies. Ramps are worth increasing values as you light them. Score enough to master Illusion Magic.  
 
Fortune Telling:  
 
Shoot the right ramp to spell TELL. Then shoot the crystal ball in the circular playfield to open your psychic eye to the future. Shoot the middle ramp over and over again to see into the future and master divination. If the third eye closes, shoot the crystal ball again. 
 
REALITY BENDING MODE:  
 
Learn how to distort the laws of physics and bend them to your will. Use this mode to master teleportation, weather control, and time travel. Raise the mode value by sending your ball through the in-lanes to wind the clocks, and raise it much faster by shooting the weathervane inside the circular playfield.  
 
Teleportation Magic:  
 
Shoot the left lane to spell WARP, then shoot the rift in space beside it to teleport your ball to a random spot on the table. This will light a random ramp. Shoot it and repeat two more times to master teleportation.  
 
Storm Magic:  
 
Shoot the center ramp to spell STORM. This will summon a sequence of storms, starting with a thundercloud. Shoot the right ramp to close the thunderstorm and spawn a tornado. Shoot the center shot to close the twister and summon a hurricane. Shoot the weathervane to close the hurricane and summon an earthquake. Finally, endure the rumbling table to shoot the bolder by the left orbit and master weather control.  
 
Time Travel:  
 
Shoot the right ramp to spell TIME. Then shoot inside the circular playfield to spin the hourglass ten times, but be warned: as you mess with the fabric of time, your ball may move at unpredictable speeds!  
 
STATIC MODES:  
 
There are a handful of quests that are available no matter what mode is active.   
 
Creation Magic:  
 
Shoot the center orbit shot to spell CREATE. This will grant you access to the magic wand in the center of the table. Hit any key to kick your ball into the wand three times. This will conjure a random object out of thin air and raise your Conjure Bonus. This value multiplies the points you get by beating a quest. CONJURING AN ITEM IS ALSO THE ONLY WAY TO SWITCH BETWEEN MODES WITHOUT LOSING YOUR BALL. Creation magic will be prepped upon completing a mode. 
 
Sorcery Trial:  
 
Shoot the left orbit to spell TRIALS to put your magic skills to the test in a minigame housed at the bottom of the table.  
 
-Trial 1: Use the left and right flippers to kick the ball toward the left or right shots when the walls are dropped out of the way. Sink four balls to win the trial.  
-Magic Duel: Video mode! Ready for a game of quick draw? Watch the video screen for your cue to fire your spell. When the game says "DRAW!" press any button faster than your opponent to win the duel.  
-Trial 2: Watch the three lit arrows and press any key when one points the direction of a target. Hit seven targets to win the trial, but think fast because the targets change unpredictably.  
 
 
Secrets of Magic:  
 
Spin the golden key by the left orbit to fill the Secrets of Magic meter. Once it’s full, an invisible mystery shot will be activated somewhere on the table. You have until the Secrets of Magic meter empties again to shoot the hidden shot, score big points, and unlock the mysteries of the supernatural.  
 
Spellcasting:  
 
Shoot the five drop targets to spell SPELL. This will cast a random spell and grant you an award via a slot machine. The awards include points, a ball saver, a random tarot card, a magic card bonus, prepping modes to start, and even a hurry up mode than can only be activated through the Spell Targets.  
 
MULTIBALL:  
 
Every time you complete a mode, a 3-ball multiball will start automatically. Shoot the left ramp to score a jackpot. Shoot three for an ultra jackpot.  
 
MAELSTROM MODE:  
 
After you complete all three modes (all 9 quests), Maelstrom Mode will start. A vortex of magic will open in the circular playfield. Get inside it and spin through the spiral as many times as you can, racking up major points. Score 30 spins to unlock an extra ball.  
 
TAROT CARDS:  
 
Like my original Spellcast Machine table, this mode grants tarot cards as awards for winning quests. Every tarot card has a unique award and it remains permanent for the rest of the game. The video screen will explain what each card does, but some permanently increase ramp values, others help with ball savers, but all four of the Ace cards grant unique table features that will appear for thirty seconds every time you beat a quest. Shoot these objects for huge points. How many tarot cards can you collect?

Love your tables!  Just discovered them today!  Thanks for all the creativity.  This one gives me an error "BASS music/sound library connot create stream "C:\Users\bensi\Desktop\~Spell Sequal Stuff\souslotblip3.mp3" (error 21: no 3D support).  Seems like maybe a sound wasn't woven into the table that should have been?
