This dark beauty from bord has a wicked 5 ball multiball.
I've given it holes and new lighting and taller bumpers.
2.1 has FlexDMD added Thanks scutters.
Enjoy :)

What's New in Version 2.1 (See full changelog)

  • 2.0 Lights, lighting, layout, physics

Hopefully he did, but unlikely.  I re-did the GI literally hours before I published, and if he's used my insert lighting method, it should look better. I won't bother checking because I really don't care as I have my own nice version.

He didn't, that was rhetorical. You changed nothing (Edit: Shit.  The editor doesn't refresh the properties properly clicking straight between the two, I needed to click off a light object before clicking one on the other table.  Some of the GI do have different intensities, and Bigus halved the fade speeds.  I was so pissed that I moved too fast and didn't catch the bug).  I got access to his version Jan 4 2022 and it's sat in my WIP folder untouched; I know because I had to rotate the PoV for my setup. So if you re-did the GI "hours" before uploading, then you took screenshots of and uploaded the wrong version.

And I did acknowledge that the insert lights are different - you kept the original shapes, deleted the blooms, and altered the values and colors.

You obviously don't have the skill to do a forensic analysis of a table and I don't give a rat's arse what you believe. I told you what I've done and if bord made similar changes, then that's good for everybody. The GI lights around the captive ball were not scripted and inactive, so assuming he realised this and scripted them also, he would have similar results. Hopefully he or whoever helps him fixed the tilt as well.

It's not what I believe, it's what I can see.  And Bord's 2020 (retrieved 2022) table does have the same fixes as yours for the captive ball lights and tilt (though his code is indented).

But when you say "re-did GI" that implies more than adding a couple lines to the script; when I "re-did" the GI on Robot, I changed literally everything.  I replaced each light object with a new pair of lights, I shaped them, I tuned their colors and punch, I changed out the entire script from UpdateLamps to Lampz; and then I went beyond, offering options to the GI that I felt enhanced the experience.

There's a big difference between this: Fw0V1l3.png

And actually re-doing GI: z4JfwEe.png

Like I said, you don't understand what you're seeing because you don't fully grasp the importance or the function of the settings. You should put some effort into learning more than the basics, instead of pestering me. I've had so much more practice editing than just about anyone in this hobby and I have a solid understanding of all the settings in all parts of the editor, as well as having become quite competent at scripting. I've rarely asked for help and the closest I've come to a tutorial is fluppers' flupperdomes table. I prefer to figure things out myself rather than copying blindly and potentially learning outdated methods.

So many times I've seen people trying to implement fluppers' lights without having his skill to make it all gel - there's more to it than copy/paste.

Which settings?  These? ijrsWQf.png Because they're unchanged.

Or these? KTOIYGl.png Also unchanged.  Edit:  The intensities on some are actually different, and the fade speeds on this set are halved.

These are changed, but minor and not GI tH8jCX9.png

And the environment light is changed, but still not GI PhmLxoS.png
And I'm glad I read through the script, because it confirmed my assumption that you deleted a bunch of stuff and all your additions were just filling the holes.  The diff isn't a perfect representation, but that's a lot of red and not much green: TBhnoK9.png

The cherry on top is scrubbing @Thalamus' name from the script x'D

So are you just going to say that I don't know what I'm talking about a third time?

Yup. And I have no interest in educating you. What happened to leaving?

Yup. And I have no interest in educating you. What happened to leaving?

That's too bad, since this is a public space and I'm sure plenty of people would like to be educated. I've done my part (and put out tutorials and part of an example table besides).
And I never said I was leaving, just not supporting my uploads from here. Technically that just means I have more time to "pester" you :D

The last dude that accused me of lying about a playfield and claiming it to be identical, just as you are claiming with the lights, doubled down when I proved him wrong and rather than retract the allegation, changed his tune and claimed it doesn't matter anyway. It was only a day or two ago and you were part of it.

That's just how you jerks roll.  But you've managed to sufficiently prove your lack of knowledge to me in the process :)

"Part of it" because I liked his posts calling you out for not bothering to ask for permission?  And when you have to know what to look for and hunt for pixels, it's hardly a change worth putting your name on it for.

The lights are identical dude, I showed the evidence.  You did make the environmental lighting nicer (to my eye), but that wasn't what I called you out for.  GI stands for General Illumination, and refers to the set of bulbs whose primary purpose is to provide light to the pf and not direct gameplay.  I said it was unchanged, to which you responded that it was "redone".  I didn't know about the unscripted lights because they were fixed in my version, but other than that they are unchanged.  So I am de-facto not a "dude that accused [you] of lying" as it is "identical".  You said "Lights, lighting, layout, physics" and I elaborated for you with "insert light colors/values changed, deleted 2 layers of insert light blooms, GI unchanged, deleted pf mesh, changed out bumper primitives and lights"

The final product of "the GI has also been redone" "I re-did the GI literally hours before I published"

ZS6rMij.jpg

At least "holes and new lighting and taller bumpers" was informational and factual!

And all that doesn't change my primary issue with you taking the work of others without asking for permission and slapping your name on it.  The rules were changed exclusively for you, since I haven't seen anyone else feel the need to operate that way.  Your weird need to do this is driving creators old and new away from VPF, to VPU or out of the hobby; so if that's your goal, then, good job I guess?
