Was big fan of the show when it originally aired, even sent away a mailer to join the fan club! Had a few of the toys then too. Slowly watching it again in order. Missed allot back then, no tech to record anything! Anyway, long winded way of saying a big thank you for this and all the updates. Big thank you to all who helped you on these!!!
Thanks for your continued support of the classic (6 player) table. It was my most played real table as a kid and it brings back the memories.
Thanks.. Anyone know if the real sounds for this pinball game are there? Owned this table when I was a kid, some of the sound effects seem to be missing I recall from this table.
Went into sound manager and played each listed sound unless I am missing something there are sounds missing. Like when the score increases.
Here is a video of the actual machine in use.
Press F6 with the game running to access the options menu for sounds and stuff

Thanks!! I had no idea the dip switches set the sound mode.
Still don't hear all the sound effects, I set the sound mode via F6 and reset with F3. This was with using vpinballx. (10.7.2) I tried all combo's listed under Sound Features:
Using Six Million Dollar Man (Bally 1978)_Bigus(MOD)2.4.vpx
Now that I know this, I tried Vpinbal995 and another table: Six Million Dollar Man, The (Bally) (1978) (Robair & Destruk & Satch & Rob046 & Inkochnito) (2.1).vpt
Hitting F6, when I select noise then F3 to reset, I do now here all the cool sounds I expected!
I would love to get it to work with your version, it is so much more polished! Visually I believe it is near perfect!
I looked at all the preferences in VPX and everything looks OK to me, like play sound effects in enabled, play music is enabled.
Thanks for all the time you put into this.
Hi crimpshrine,
wow!
Me too, I was unaware that the dip-switches handle the sound on this table and turning it to the electronic sounds I discovered that this table was also that table which had that obsessive score counting sound.
You must know that those days this pinball was in a bar owned by an old short man who needed a raised floor to work as a bartender otherwise he was unable to see the people on the other side.
Since we were silly joking with him for that, he often was joking back with us.
When we were playing with this pinball, any time he passed close to us, he tried to emulate the sound of the pinball saying repeatedly “cuiòn cuiòn cuiòn”, which is a local slang used in my small town which in English should literally translated into “testicle”, but the meaning is “asshole”.
He probably was referring to us about the bunch of money we were dropping into the pinball coin-door.
He was a short man, but great
So, thank you and bigus1 to get me back to the golden age of my life with this nice table.
Massimo
The only machine I ever clocked way back in the 80s.
Thanks for the remake. Well done !!
I had a previous version of this and the sound were ROM sounds. Since installing this version it has switched to just generic playfield sounds only.
Yes I have pressed F6 and tried all the other sound options.
I feel sad for upgrading because even when I revert back the ROM sounds are no longer working.
I have even tried deleting the ROM and reinstalling it.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Bigus suggested to tick the sound samples option after pressing F1 while the the table was loaded. Yes that has fixed the issue. Thank you !!
Any help would be appreciated I am not a programmer on v2.5 I get this error, and yes flexdmd installed to vpinmame dir
Runtime error

The very first pinball I became addicted to 40 years ago. So nice to be able to play it again. Thanks so much.
