VPX Beta 10.7.3
Thanks again to the community for all of your help with effort. Everyone was incredibly helpful with anything we needed to get this one done.
And thank you to the previous Firepower authors that gave us the foundation for this build. Could not have done it without you all.

I have hopefully given everything within my abilities to make this as close as possible to the real machine.
Personally owning four Firepowers and restoring countless others has hopefully lent itself to making a perfect digital recreation.

Thank you Slydog43, always a pleasure and of course with a great machine to use for a solid 1 to 1 reference too compare our efforts including physical characteristics and visuals.
Thank you G5K , your passion for this format is as equal too if not greater then mine. Beautiful work as always brother and I look forward to future creations.

A very special thanks to Ben Logan, xzotic(SpaciesArcade) and Sliderpoint for beta testing, critical de-bugging and invaluable feedback. More helpful then you know.
Please feel free to reveal any issues you may have and or suggestions. They are ALWAYS welcome.

I recommend turning off AO (Ambient Occlusion) in video preferences and keeping ScSp turned on.
Anything else (Anti-Aliasing, Post-proc AA) will depend on your set-up.

I look forward to the next VPX build. I'm sure a lot of you know what that might be;)

Wow ! Wow and wow. My best for a lot of reason but of the thing i like is the ball transparency and spinning.

The glass smack is my favorite part:)

Fantastic table, well done. Have only been into pinball for a couple of years and first saw the original table in Spacies Arcade on you tube.

Watching his original table, really shows the weight of the ball as it hits the flippers, almost a slower ball speed as it deflects off the flippers and then accelerates with momentum. Even looks like a very small bounce as it hits the flippers.

Just observations.

I have a few issues, cant get the dynamic star background to work even though Ive changed the script.

Such a shame that when I change the contrasts and lighting in F6 mode that it changes the ball lighting aswell. For my table preference lighting I end up with a grey ball where as I prefer a nice shiny silver ball. :)

ScSp turned on caused lots of graphic artifacts noticeable more so around the flippers when they move.

Yea the dynamic background only works in DTMode and is currently not visible in the playfield, yet.

As far as lighting I suggest going through the THX instructions to best represent what was intended by myself.

If you could take a screenshot of these artifacts I would be more then willing to take a look. This also might be a result of the table not being set up to the suggested THX settings.

Nice ! Thanx

Thanks I can't wait to play it

Thank you sir(s) for improving my already "as close to perfect as can be" fav of all time. Just haven't seen any THX options before. Can you please explain briefly. Thanks and  thanks again. I love it so much I made a mini 6 inch model.

Thanks for that, glad you enjoy the table. With the new LUT brightness adjustment it's not really necessary but I will be updating the table with a re-calibrated THX value. Because of the LUT change it needs to get reset.

Your creation is 100% identical to the original. I played the table very often in the local diner in the early 80s. The only thing I need is an option for a greasy glass with cigarette ash in the lower third of the glass.

Magic! Excellent work.  The mood music at the end of a game was quite unexpected and very apt!
