VPX Beta 10.7.3
Thanks again to the community for all of your help with effort. Everyone was incredibly helpful with anything we needed to get this one done.
And thank you to the previous Firepower authors that gave us the foundation for this build. Could not have done it without you all.

I have hopefully given everything within my abilities to make this as close as possible to the real machine.
Personally owning four Firepowers and restoring countless others has hopefully lent itself to making a perfect digital recreation.

Thank you Slydog43, always a pleasure and of course with a great machine to use for a solid 1 to 1 reference too compare our efforts including physical characteristics and visuals.
Thank you G5K , your passion for this format is as equal too if not greater then mine. Beautiful work as always brother and I look forward to future creations.

A very special thanks to Ben Logan, xzotic(SpaciesArcade) and Sliderpoint for beta testing, critical de-bugging and invaluable feedback. More helpful then you know.
Please feel free to reveal any issues you may have and or suggestions. They are ALWAYS welcome.

I recommend turning off AO (Ambient Occlusion) in video preferences and keeping ScSp turned on.
Anything else (Anti-Aliasing, Post-proc AA) will depend on your set-up.

I look forward to the next VPX build. I'm sure a lot of you know what that might be;)

DELETED

Version 1.0.1 is up everyone. Couple of fixes to the stand-up targets including sensitivity and physical characteristics that with a lot of testing i'm satisfied with. Also did a simple fix for the ball being able to phase through the pop bumpers.

Going to stay with the same 10.6 version for now.  Happy Holidays:)

Amazing recreation! This really looks and feels like the real thing. Thank you so much guys for sharing your work with us!

having same issue with all the old tables figuring out the right settings to make it play like a real older table without it casusing issues with newer tables like changing gravity and resistance. I know some like the fast pace on old tables but I use them to warm ups and doesn't do me much good if they play as fast as dead pool.

Loving the table releases they look great!!!

Which old tables are you talking about trying to play like which older tables?

Can't believe no one has mentioned the glass hits off the stand-ups.

If you've played the real game you knew it ideally had to be in there... and it is.

This one is a real treat. Excellent job!

older tables like firepower, 8 ball deluxe anything pre dmd etc.  most vp play like they are on a 45+ degree angle

super fast compared to the real tables. Figured someone would have theirs setup playing sorta correctly. I was hoping for some insight on how to correct it, as this is one of the older tables in question.

Have you ever owned a Firepower?? ;)

When is the last time you've played a real Firepower or better yet, have you ever owned one, or four? ;)

owned one yes, played a full restored one last week have played 6 dif firepower tables over past few seasons and all played a hell of a lot slower hence the reason for question.

I understand and trust me I've had a lot of people play test this and some are top players. We have gone back and forth multiple times and even going as little as 6% less felt too weak. I've owned four Firepowers myself and have fully restored many more. (owned my own shop) We also have one in perfect condition (brand new flipper assembly's, playfield tight as a drum, new boards, power supply, etc) right next to our Virtual machine we calibrated it from. In every measurable way we could possibly think of it is as close as possibly . I've even used slow motion video recordings you name it.

I have played a lot of Firepowers that were not in top condition and yea, they play much slower. Maybe I will consider making a "routed" option with matched physics to play like a beat up table. Feel free to adjust the physics and hand it back to me the way you think it should play and I'll gladly take a look. That would be great and I appreciate the feedback as always. So important.
