Kidnap CIC Play
This is the VPX recreation of Kidnap by CIC Play of Barcelona. Akiles provided the images of the playfield and plastics scans. Pinball-Broker from Flippermarkt.de provided additional images of this rare pin.
The exact year is unknown and the pin is not even registered at IPDB.org.
Some of table objects have been created by dark and GTXJoe (screws, light bulbs, gates).
Thank You for this.
The main table rules are:
- K-I-D-N-A-P letters advance left upper lane and outlanes (this will be carried over to the next ball)
- Drop Target banks advance Ramp value and Double and Triple Bonus
- Left targets advance Captive Ball value
At the top of the script, You have some options:
- DimGI allows You to adjust the GI brightness
- FreePlay adds a coin each time a game is started
A DIP switch menu to change the number of balls is availiable too (F6).
The table is set up for FS and DT mode. A B2S is ready too.
The ROM file is availiable at tecnopinball.org (see link to the converted ZIP file).
Have fun
Michael

Great job, thank you.
What I love about VPX. I've been collecting since 2000 and just now discovered this well presented Spanish gem in 2024. Plays great! Its fun and no tweaking required. ⚪

"Operating through the late 1980s, the company released three original full-sized pinball machines: Galaxy Play (1985), Kidnap (1986), and Galaxy Play 2 (1987). These games were built using MAC S.A.’s System IV hardware, enabling the small team to focus on creative playfield and theme design. CIC Play’s machines featured several forward-thinking ideas, including adaptive difficulty modes in Kidnap and a motorized spaceship animation in Galaxy Play 2’s backbox. Though produced in limited numbers, these titles stood out for their originality, with all three employing custom themes rather than licensed properties—a rarity at the time."
Seems to be manufactured in 1986 based on this site.

Great work. I wonder why it hasn't made IPDB.org? It's a pity because you can drop the info from there into the description field in the table info and keep a history of the original machine.
FYI, it's a 1986 production, according to www.arcade-history.com.
