the this table has a table specific apron. I'm a glorified tracer, if anyone has a decent scan of the apron I will rebuild it for the table.

I have the machine's ROM located where it goes in the ROMS folder and I have about 300 working tables but this one is a big dud. Always throws this error...
Machine 'dfndr_14' (Defender (L-4)) terminated before initialized, check the rom path or rom file!
Downloaded the ROM from a few places. Always the same error. Running Version X with the Beta #6 installed.
Any ideas?

Not that it is any comfort but I have the same problem. The table loads ok as does the ROM through vpinMAME but not together.
Any idea on which DIP Switch controls 3 or 5 balls? Thank you.
Using VPinballX62_Minimal and VPinMAME33b_Minimal in Linux WINE
Have anything strange playing Defender.
If the ball goes exactly in the line white color the ball fall in hole not being possible avoid lose one ball.

This is awesome :-D Great lighting. The download link is not broken; clicking the green download icon starts the file download immediately, whereas other tables often have different versions, maybe this is where the confusion is from?
