first of I have say Big thank you to Drakko for his Future Pinball version.
I used so much of his resources that I would almost call this a Future Pinball to VPX conversion. So much that I decided to give him co author credits.

Another big thank you to JpSalas and his VP9 version.

PLEASE READ
The Spin-out ramp code was copied from JPsalas vp9 version.  I sent an early build of the table to Jp and asked for help fine-tuning it for me.  The ramp will work
9 out of 10 times.  In that one occasion, the ball will get stuck,  a quick nudge in your part and the ball will be kicked out.  I tired to use other methods to build the ramp
but I did not get any improved results.  If the ramp is not up to your standards feel free to rebuild it.  Many fans of this table including myself will be more than grateful for a fully working.
100% accurate response.

final note
big thank you to sawbill for mapping the GI and flasher lights and his physics tweaks recommendations.

What's New in Version 2.0 (See full changelog)

  • 1.1 physics update
  • 2.0
  • more physics tweaks
  • few new toys and spinout ramp update by Ninuzzu

thanks for the update!!!

what i am missing is the "JOYRIDE SCORES" display for the table.

based on the real machine, i would think it belongs to the backglass.

i was able to find 4 different directb2s files for the TAXI table but none of them had this display embedded.

(the old VP9 VPT has it as part of the playfield in the top left corner... hence i wasnt missing it in the past but now iwth the VPX version its no longer there...)

can anybody tell me whether there is a directb2s file with a "JOYRIDE SCORES" display out there that i could use in connection with this VPX table?

thanks a lot!

Are you displaying the grill in your backglass or do you have it disabled?

So much better. I just noticed this table was updated. Ball still gets stuck in the Spinout, but an upwards nudge usually gets it out. Glad its been updated as before, after shooting for Gorbie, the ball would then launch down the Santa/Joyride lane, and instantly drain. Even nudging like crazy wouldn't prevent an instant drain. It's way better now and the ball comes out the santa lane as it should. Great job!

thanks for the tip with the grill!

(since my cabinet is based on a real Williams ('Cyclone') table i have a real speaker grill and disabled the B2S grill long time ago.

i was no longer aware of this B2S Server feature...

now it works like a charm!!!

thanks again for all the great work and support!

when im on fullscreen, the sound is scratchy and just terrible, is there any adjustments to this?

Thanks for the update - it really looks and plays five Stars

Somehow this "visual" pinball feels real, I can tell you the only time I realised this was not a real pinball was when I tried to nudge and don't have nudge capability on my cab yet.

I am blown away by the realism of this table, Amazing work.
