Gottlieb mod physmod5
Well here goes, my first try at modding
I upgraded Luvthatapex's table to a more modern look, borrowing bits and pieces from all over the place.
What's done:
- Replaced playfield with one from the FP version
- Made new plastics from IPDB source
- Redid the light inserts
- Added ballrolling routine
- Added some static lighting
- Replaced stuff with primitives (rubbers, posts, screws, rubber wheel, triggers)
- Added slingshot animation
- Redid a few textures with FP ones (targets, bumpers)
- Modded physics to physmod5
There's still lots more that could be done but I'd have to learn a bit more first
I'll probably revisit the table as I learn new stuff....eventually.
Most pressing would probably replacing the varitarget and bumpers with primitives.
Thanks to:
Luvthatapex (original table)
Francisco666 (FP version textures)
Rascal/Pinuck (ball rolling routine borrowed from Abra Ca Dabra)
LoadedWeapon (flasher objects borrowed from Time Machine NM)
unclewilly, gtxjoe, Dark and Zany (primitive templates/objects)
JP Salas (slingshot animation routine)
Arngrim (DOF code)

What's New in Version 1.3 (See full changelog)
- 1.3:
- Adjusted flipper strength
- Set PinMAME Timer interval to 4 to fix "Shoot Again" light (as suggested by blur)
- 1.2:
- DOF code added by Arngrim
- Added primitive flippers
I had to learn how to setup PinballX for multiple versions of VP just for this. Looks good so far, and thanks for the incentive to learn something else I needed to know.
Have Fun!!
I like the graphics and gameplay -- a couple things for 1.4
Increase the mechanical plunger strength and move the plunger down and to the left
there is no slingshot sounds
no ball rolling sounds (even thou its in the sound manager - perhaps no timer?)
the upper right circular lane - the wall is too far over such that the ball doesn't hit the rollover buttons/stars
where are the rollover wires?
the layback/incline - might need some tweaking
I will likely fix up some of these but if you can take a look that would be great..love them Gottliebs!

What ? I didn't say there was a problem in PM5. All I said in the post was the flippers are too strong for an EM of this age, they never had such powerful flippers. As I already said... I reduced the flipper strength 50% to make it a little more real. For those that haven't done it you just load the table in the editor, click on the flipper, and there you will see the settings. You will need to do both flippers. You don't need to modify the script as such.
I haven't checked out the new version yet but the changeset looks great. Thanks for the update !
