Spiderman and Black Cat DMD

Version: 1.6.3
Category: VP 8.x Originals

Author(s): Original table: Bob5453, DMD / GFX update: Highrise, Engine: Shiva

Description:
Prototype DMD system tableOriginal Table / Rules / Layout by Bob5453New DMD / Graphics by HighriseBased on the Shiva EngineOptimised to be played at 1280 x 960 resolution
As some of you will know, I am working on a new Spiderman based table which may take a while as I have a lot of real life stuff to get through. Therefore I thought I would re-release this since it has not been available here before.

This is a table I worked on some years ago, which I was recently asked to upload. It's something of a blast from the past for me, and shows some of my early work with DMD systems. This is pretty much the only table I have done which uses a DMD that works like a real one - i.e every pixel is controllable and all the animations are done with raw data. This method eventually proved to be too sapping of resources and too painstaking in terms of production which is why I developed a new system later on. It also only gave a perfect display at a specific resolution which was not ideal. The DMD in this release is best viewed at 1280 x 960.

The story of this table is kind of important as I want to make sure proper credit is due:

I wanted a table to test out some of my ideas about DMDs, and was kindly given permission by Bob5453 to base the work on his Spiderman and Black Cat table.

So this table used the layout and ruleset as the starting point, and I added a new DMD, new playfield graphics and backgrounds, and some minor modifications to the ruleset due to the DMD display.

At Bob5453's request, which I happily agreed to, this table should be considered a completely separate table from his own, and I highly recommend you try his original version if you haven't already.

..that's it! boring read over, go and have a play!

thanks to Bob5453, Shiva, JPSalas and anyone else (you're in the credits)

yes, it does not work 100% in VP9 although I doubt it would be hard to change.

Bob:
have not d/loaded your new one yet.
the older version plays ok in 905 for the rotate.
unfortunatly there is some scoring display in the upper playfield.
plays ok in 905-909.
i used 905 to get the rotate.
nice to see all your tables in VP9/FS.
Supergirl in VP9/FS is great.
thanks Bob...

Chas, this is not my new table. My Table is called Black Cat & Spider-man and is under the B's at PN and last updated in 2007. This table is a Mod of my table from 2006 and is called Spider-man & The Black Cat and is under the S's. They are both currently VP8 tables.

I may redo mine with VP9, but without the shivaEngine and use Wizards_Hat scoring display system.
