OD Jenning's Improved Sportsman Payout

Version: 1
Category: VP 8.x Recreations

Author(s): Patrick & tiltjlp

Description:
VP's first payout with adjustable speed plunger & tilting. Not only tracks tokens won but also gives a Cyber Payout. If balls hang up near Missed Ball trough or on side pins, nudge gently.

Sportsman was so impossibly difficult, OD Jennings provided operators with four plugs so that they could seal off four non- payout scoring holes, to improve a player's chances of winning.

As you can see on the VP version, you collected your tokens or nickels at the bottom center of the machine, just below the tube that held the tokens and nickels. You collected by pressing down a lever on the right side of the game.

While you could collect at any time during the game, you might be wise to wait till the end, so you can collect the largest pay out possible. And you only collected on the largest payout, not the total of all possible wiining combos.

WOW! This one looks great!

The payouts are a NIGHTMARE. I got to play this a few years ago in Chicago. You MUST hit the two or three of the same holes and THEN hit the top payout hole. It is totally nuts for a 1930's payout. One of the toughest machines I have ever played!!!

You know where I'm at and it isn't here. I'm not appreciated here (nor are my table releases) so I have no respect for a small group of folks here and they KNOW who they are and I KNOW WHO THEY ARE.

I've been treated with nothing but disdain and disrespect (EXTORTION, DOXXING, harassment, threats and blackmail) here at VPF so you can find me at Pinball Nirvana.

KNOW THE TRUTH BEFORE you CONDEMN SOMEONE.

They KNOW who they are and use a particular chatroom to talk BS about others behind their back (I know about this too and WHO EACH OF THEM are.)

I belonged to a group of Pre WWII collectors, and while they're more into slot machines, one fellow had a Sportsman and gave us game details as well as playtested it for us. I've found the group again, so maybe they'll help me out again. The group also made it possible for Patrick amd me to do Airway 100% accurately.
