Medusa VP9 1.1FS

Version: 1.1.0
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the Bally table from 1981.
This is the FS version of the table.
The table is actually completely angle independent, so actually the only changes are the higher resolution graphics and the lights on the backdrop.

I have enabled and rotated the vpm window so it will look ok if you used a single screen (as I do smile.gif )

JP

Update 1.1
- Fixed typo in text light
- Changed nudge system to one used before. Using two keys, on for the light nudge and one for a stronger nudge. When the "analog" nudge is fully debugged and tested then I'll add it to my tables.

Thanks JP for the excellent recreation! One question. Is it just me, or are the digits on the table under the "Like Numbers-Award Extra Ball" section on the playfield acting strange? The lights start out as 00, and when you start playing they loose lights. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Anyone else seeing this?

EDIT: Installed this again with no UVP, and the digits work.

If you are having trouble using the UVP back glass from Flying Dutchman it could be due to the missing table LEDs. (those 6 digits on the table itself are emulated by pinmame) Please try to use the "Fantasy" UVP created by Pharaoh. Here is the link to it here on VPForums.

Fantasy UVP Medusa backglass by Pharaoh

This UVP server backglass has the table LED lights hidden, very small, in the backglass so that UVP Server won't crash.

When using a UVP just add the first part of the UVP script:

'Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")
Set Controller = CreateObject("UltraVP.BackglassServ")

Do not add the timer or the LED script. Don't rotate the dmd. Just make sure the DMD is hidden in the script. I had no errors in HP, and the digits on the table were working fine.

Hi Guys,

I downloaded the alternate UVP backglass as suggested and it worked great. No more crashing on exit. I prefer FD's backglass image (has the Bally and Medusa logo's) so I simply replaced the one from the alternate download smile.gif

Cheers,

Nos

This worked for me. Thanks. I originally had the LED script in the script and was getting the error. Thanks for the info.

Yes, the alternate UVP seems to work better. Here is the alternate image with the logos. It's not identical to the original, but it's close.

i don't mean to sound rude but can you supply us with the script to get the nudging you would normally have JP?
