Cheers to Wizards_Hat! drinks.gif

This Tutorial Table has answered my questions about Using Collections and Scripting Targets And Lights. I don't have to write out everything manually anymore. There IS a way to control multiple targets and lights with just a few commands.

If you are like me, and you're new to scripting VP Tables, I'd definitely recommend this as a vital part of the Beginner Builder course, under the Using Collections chapter.

Wizards_Hat walks you through the Collections of both Drop Targets and Lights, and then shows you how to control them. In this well-commented, easy-to-follow script, he takes away any mystery that a beginner builder might encounter and makes it as easy as pie.

Thanks, Wizards_Hat. You're like one big aspirin to my beginner builder headache!

BTW, surely you know of an early VP table called "Anna's Colours" by Sphere?

This little tutorial of yours reminded me of that.

I understand you're a teacher IRL (??) ... it would be very interesting if you were to create an artistic table like that one. Teaching colour and art as well as playing a cool game, that would be fun! "Paint" the ball a different colour, depending on which colour it "dipped into" (kickers, of course). Hit the "Water" kicker to "wash the brush". I, for one, would love to see how you might script such a table. If it's anything like this Collections tutorial here, hey, maybe even -I- could understand it! smile.gif

play my Cavegal table when the ball leaves the volcano kicker it's red like a ball of lava,
to color a ball is easy to have the editor recognize a colored ball on the table is a whole different matter
Wizards hat also taught me collections months ago, explaining it also with that table and a long email.
Due to his way of teaching it's very easy to pick up and learn. Glad ya' got them down, they help
so much
