This is awesome. I've been playing the FP version, and was hoping to compare that to the VP version if one existed.

Thanks guys!

great table! I remember playing this in the local bowling alley. My only problem with it is that I have no sound on it.

If you mean that you can not hear the the music/voices from the rom, go to this thread and click on the link for Bally/Midway/Williams WPC tables to see the procedure on how to raise or lower the volume of the rom sounds:

Hope this helps.

you know one thing about pin sites is no matter how long a post is up, eventually someone else will pick up on it again. I see this happening quite regularly here. That I think is great. All the sites lately have had a resurgence, with older posts getting replies to. This one goes back two years, and still someone went on a search for an oldie. great to see all the older posts still getting attention too! now here's an idea, Pinbot was made. Bride of Pinbot also. How come no one ever picked up and ran with Child of Pinbot? Children of Pinbot? Pinbot III? a vp9.1.2 one would do nicely, thank you. We'll wait...! biggrin.gif

faralos, if you would have done a search of the downloads you would have found this version of BOP made by unclewilly for VP9:

And he also did a Pinbot for VP9:

This is one of my favorite tables. There are several versions to play out there including a pretty cool future pinball version.

Isn't Jack*Bot the son of Pinbot, or Pinbot 3?

Jack*Bot was indeed the third table in the trilogy, although I feel that Jack*Bot was more of an updated Pinbot, since it looks like they used whatever parts were left from the original Pinbot run to make Jack-Bot. The playfield looks very similar to Pinbot's, as well as the way you make certain shots.

If anyone is out there reading this I could use some help. Really love this table, but I cannot get past a problem...every time I 'turn the face' the ball will not release from the wire holder. I've tried some tilts, but they do not release the ball and the game gets stuck.

I've checked forums and even had a look at the coding, which I have no idea about! This is my favorite version of this table and I really hope to find a way around this, I'd appreciate some ideas :)

Delete the nvram file and fire the table back up.

It has to do with the solenoid on the lockpin.
This is what I think happens. The solenoid fires, lowering the lock pin but as soon as the ball moves off the trigger the pin goes back up. Sometimes this happens so fast the ball doesn't get released.
I would try changing the trigger type to custom, then extend the lower part of the trigger down the ramp to just at the bottom of the lock pin. This should keep the lockpin down long enough for the ball to get past.
I have recreated this table also and have the same issue.
After my current wip is finished, I'm going to update my version of this table with fixes, new features, and model based helmet with rom controlled helmet lights

Would be a great tribute to Python to have this table updated after his passing
