While recording audio to put into my first table (Hogan's Heroes) I have been working a little on my second table Tron. Got a good supply of pics and sound bites for use in the table, but can't find any sound effects (wav format preferred) for download to use in the table. If anyone can post a link or can help in this regard, thanks in advance for the help! biggrin.gif

Embarrassing enough, I don't have this movie on dvd and I love the movie!!!

Check out this site - about 40 sound bites from Tron. Direct link below:

(Right Click and SAVE TARGET AS)

This would make a great opening while the table sets up ....

"I've got a little challenge for you, Sark. A new recruit. He's a tough case, but I want him treated in the usual manner. Train him for the games, let him hope for a while, and blow him away."

Really looking forward to see what you do with Tron!

I got my current audio clips from both of those sites you two have showed the links for, great minds think alike huh? biggrin.gif

What I still need though is stuff like the light cycle sounds and the disc sounds and some other sounds of the like. The speech clips I have all I need for the table.

I am going to order the movie. Bad enough not having it after saying that it is one of my favorites. Then I can capture the audio clips I need after I finish getting the audio for my other table biggrin.gif

Tron is one of my favorite movies as well. I recommend using mame to dump some sounds from the old arcade game and use some of them too, that old game has awesome sound.

You can rip the sounds from the Arcade game Tron using the M1 emulator, although being a 1982 game some of the sound effects are a little primitive, still some of them could be useful for short sound effects.

Probably will rip the sounds from the movie itself since I am buying it. As soon as a friend of mine gets over here (he orders stuff for me ( no bank account of my own biggrin.gif )) and gets my money I will have the movie in a few days. I am intrigued on how the game sounds sound. May have to check into that and compare to the movie sounds. biggrin.gif

Here's a little teaser of what the table looks like so far. As I said I am doing theis one while recording sounds for my Hogan's Heroes table ignore some of the walls, just using them for testing issues:

I just laughed at how similar they are. smile.gif

Not bad! I don't mind someone else working on a Tron table. Mine won't be complete for a while anyways. Recording audio and picking audio clips for my Hogan's Heroes table takes over an hour per episode, so my Tron table won't get any hardcore work done on it until at least a month from now. biggrin.gif

There's a sequel coming out? Where was I when the announcement came out? This is most embarrassing! biggrin.gif

It was announced at one of the Comic Cons I think. They even had a full scale replica of the arcade with retro arcade games and everything.

I think just like the original , it is a mixture of real actors and graphics. I am confused by the young looking Jeff Bridges in the yellow suit, while an older looking Bridges watches from above.

I downloaded and watched the original again a few months ago.. Really looking forward to this.

Sorry for the semi-off-topic, but I wanted you guys to see this modern trailer that this guy made for the original movie. I thought it was pretty impressive and makes me want to watch the movie again. smile.gif
