Vampire

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 8.x Recreations

Author(s): CompuFox

Description:
Recreation of Bally' VAMPIRE - Gfx, script and sounds by CompuFox
The graphics are done from scratch, based on the b&w flyer, therefore not 100% accurate.
Scrpting is mainly based on original tech. information (schematics) of Bally Pins from the 70's. I couldn't find the Vampire paperwork itself, so I used those from Firecracker (Bonus system), Skyrocket (player up logic) and others.
I tried to get the feel of play as close to the real machine as possible, I hope it works. More details can be found in the VP editor table info itself.
Have fun with that "ugly" beauty!

To those it may concern:

I have to appologize to the first downloaders! For testing purposes I reduced balls in play to 3 and forgot to switch back to 5 balls before uploading. This is solved now, the table should give you the promised five balls.

PS: I didn't change the file's name - just replace the old one in your table directory with the new one...

PPS: If you know scripting and want to avoid downloading the file anew - just alter the following lines in the script:

Line 770 now is: If BIP<4 then but must be If BIP<6 then
Line 782 now is: If BIP<4 then but must be If BIP<6 then

Sorry for the inconveniance... blush.gif

Yup, the pretty bell sounds go nicely with this 'ugly' table. You did a nice job figuring out the scoring rules without proper info, it feel quite right while playing. Thanks for the new version CompuFox. I like how the backglass is set up.

I downloaded this table over at Irpinball just a few days ago Compufox. I don't know if it has been updated in this VPforums release but... everytime you push spacebar to nudge the table. It gives you an extra ball lol.
If you have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and want to play your VP9 desktop tables without them being stretched, check out This Link

That must have been for testing. smile.gif As you can see below, when you center nudge, the sub C_RE6 is called and that turns on the Shoot again light. I added an apostrophe to that line below, which means it won't be executed or you can just delete C_RE6 and it will fix it. That's line 1330 in the script and you can see the line numbers at the bottom left of the script.

If keycode = CenterTiltKey Then
Nudged()
Nudge 0, 2
'C_RE6
End If
