Hi everybody,

Just wanted to ask somebody on this forum what is wrong with ATI video cards and Visual Pinball? I have been playing VP8 and VP9 without a problem. Can somebody elaborate what I might be missing using this a ATI 4770 in crossfire mode. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, with the latest Catalyst drivers and the latest VP9, almost NOTHING appears to be wrong with ATI cards anymore. I've only encountered one problem, a transparency bug on the VP9 Getaway table that 'causes a reel to flash green every now and then. But that's a pretty isolated incident. ATI users need no longer fear VP9.

Same for me. I'm running two 5750's in crossfire with catalyst 10.3 drivers - only problem I've had is that reel in getaway also. Otherwise it works fine in FP and VP9, running three screens.

Can only confirm what was said: Just when I decided to trade my one-year-old ATI 4850 for an Nvidia, the 10.3 driver was issued. No more problems with HD Render on in XP and W7, just the Getaway glitch. I can perfectly live with that...

I did have this Green glitch too eith my GTX260, so I don't think this is a ATI specific error. Got a better version without this greenish frame around the ramp sign! :-D

Wha .. wha .. what? Where did you find a fixed version of the table? I tried fixing it myself in a few ways and failed.

Well that's good to hear. For a while I thought I wasn't getting the full streamlined experience like everybody who was using a Nvidia video card. I do notice from table to table that my flippers have lots of dots (pixelated) over them but when I flip one of the up the flipper actually becomes clear. Now is that a ATI issue of just a VP9 issue in general.

Not sure. I've seen that happen as well, though it's only on a few tables.

Check the "reorder box" in vp 905 or vp907 and that is fixed. It only has to be checked once and will remain enabled for every table you load on your pc.
