El Dorado VP9 FS

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): JPSalas, Todd - Fullscreen conversion

Description:
Fullscreen VP9 table
Version 1.0.1 update notes:
Sorry, In my haste I brain cramped last night and forgot JP's help file. There is no change to the table itself, I just added the help file to the Zip archive.

"Una cerveza por favor!"
I STRONGLY recommend you go to JPSalas's website and get the music pack in order to get the most enjoyment out of this table!
http://www.gethome.no/jpsalas/

Uses the ROM from the 1985 table (El Dorado City of Gold)
Updated to VP9 from the VP8 table.
Fixed the nudge and the droptargets.

Yup, it's the same pack, but it works for both tables. It REALLY sets the mood.

Todd.

Thanks JPSalas and Todd for the Fullscreen conversion.
Lovely crisp table and the music was a great idea for this release.
Also the mechanical sounds are totally immersive. It makes me
appreciate EM tables more. Sometimes i get into the SS tables too much:)
Thanks also for the Fast Draw conversion - ditto there

Man - im getting to love this table.
Its been said before but the music
is sooooooo good for this.
I was thinking about doing a UVP
backglass mod for this but id have
to put all 4 scores into the existing
scorebox its huge and could hold them.
But it wouldn't have the black scores
on the white reel like in the original.
Id also have to add credits and ball num.
Its a question of messing with it or not.
Cant decide. If anyone wants me to go ahead with it
speak up. Its a question of fooling around
with the original design and having a backglass or not.

Heres a SS of the original backglass to show what i mean.
JP's table allows for 4 players. Gottlieb's original is for 1 player
so you see my dilema. Id like to see a backglass for this,
but i would like some feedback from JP himself or others on this.
Let me know what yall think

Thanks for your consideration,
and JP thanks for the awesome table

Yes, this is something that would be really helpfull to add to the UltraVPServer .. the option to add 'white-score reels' to support the 'older' tables .. wink.gif

Cheers,
FD.

What about using the backglass from "El Dorado City of Gold" which the ROM is from? Is that possible?

No problem from me smile.gif I have already "destroyed" this table by adding the rom, I just thought it was more fun to play with newer rules (at least they were original rules, even if they belonged to a newer table but with the same layout). So just do what you want with it smile.gif

I decided to go with the Gottlieb backglass because
it matches the table art correctly. Just uploaded it.

Is anyone playing in hyperpin? I'm not seeing a media pack. I've also gone to the link for JPSalas website and I'm not seeing the music pack. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I can't get the backglass image to appear it's not there in VPinball912, and when I select from hyperpin it disappears as soon as I select the game. No scoring or backglass, no fun to play that way. Can someone please give me suggestions? This is the first time I'm tried to load without the media pack. I've got the table, backglass, and wheel images in the proper files. Thanks.

Edit - got it to work, I was trying to get the scoring to appear in the backglass, and it appears that is why it wasn't working, forgot this was modified for a 4 player, so I needed to remove the items for the script that I put in to have the scoring hit the backglass. It plays perfectly now. Helped myself.

JP took an EM and added the Solid State rom from another El Dorado to bring new rules to an EM. Kind of a fantasy EM.
Anyway, you won't be able to get the reels scoring since you have a rom window and a static backglass.
Move your rom window to your backglass monitor and the most you can get is this effect. See attached.

If someone does a B2S backglass of this game and recodes the table for EM scoring, its possible to get the Scorereels and credit reel moving.
Perhaps in the future, but again, it would be some work.

Thanks, I did figure it out and edited my original post and then I saw this. Again, thanks!
