Memory Zone 2010 vp9

Version: 2010
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Bob5453

Description:
Memory Zone is based on the old Simon games of guessing a building sequence of lights.
In the 2010 version, I have changed the backdrop, changed the sounds, added a step of animation to the dropping pipes and some script changes....

Game Instructions:

Press 1 to Start a New Game or Press the [Return] key on the Number pad

For Guessing the Sequence, you use the Number Pad on the right of the keyboard (as you can see the pipes are in the same order as the numbers 1 through 9)

You are trying to guess the sequence of the dropping pipes

The computer starts with 1 dropping pipe and you press the corresponding Number Pad key

Then the computer randomly picks a new pipe and repeats it after dropping the first pipe again

Now you press both numbers of the sequence

If you're correct in your guess, the computer will add a new pipe to the existing sequence

Now you press all 3 of the numbers of the pipe dropping sequence. This goes on and on until you guess wrong

Hi Bob! Your job is very creative. I am impressed as VP is "multi everything". Can you invent anything with it.

Remind me a game called "Genius" here in Brazil. In the United States was known as Simon.

Good job! smile.gif
Best Regards

Big Thanks to my friend Hassanchop for this very nice dmd.

Thanks for trying out my game, Billy! Yes, it's a lot like Simon. smile.gif

I originally made a pc game like this back in the early 80's. VP is very versatile, you can do almost anything with it!

Play a couple of games everyday and your memory will improve. pinnochio.gif

Thanks bob5453

I ejoyed this very much. just like your three stooges and spider-man tables.

Plays kinda like simon says and it is very addicting. I made it to level 8 on my first try. But I think it would have been cool if the pipes dropped faster each time you advanced a level creating a bit more of challenge.

I also liked how you used the twilight zone theme when you guess wrong and the game is over.

They do drop faster with each guess.... Try to to get into the Level 20's and you'll see it better. smile.gif

Dim timeBetweenNote

timeBetweenNote = 1000

playNotesT.Interval = timeBetweenNote * ((100 - curLength )/100)

I'm not very good at this game anymore, usually Level 8 to 12, but my son usually got to Level 18 to 22. It gets easier if you play it more often.... My son has reached the Level 30's quite often and I get into the 20's once in awhile. I have had a version of this game on my pc's since the IBM 386 which was 4 MHz upgraded to 8 MHz. smile.gif
