Working version of this VPX table (with correct audio). This is the original archive transmitted to me about 3 years ago (included pov and res files are optional). 

 

Seems to work fine for me on my 3-screen cabinet ... running on both VPX v10.7.2 (32bit-DX) and now with VPX v10.8.0 (64bit-DX). I use rom f14_l1.zip .

For @museion and anyone else who wants it. This is my second-favorite table and this exact one has been played about 100 times (often as 2 player).

Nowdays, I have the B2S configured to show score and Williams logo down on the screen-3 (the Backglass is just the nice image of the jet). So, with the speakers on each side, looks very similar to the original arcade pinball machine's basic-configuration.

Thank you very much for sending this.  I will test it out tomorrow morning since it's now late here.

 

Yeah it felt very out of place, not sure how the audio got Mortal Kombat sounds in it.  It felt very weird and out of place.  So thank you for that.

That was a setting you were able to turn that off in the table script.     Ed Boon is the voice actor that did most of F-14 Tomcat and also the "Get over here!" in Mortal Kombat, so someone (Ganjafarmer I think?) took a creative liberty in his VPX version. 

The VPW version is based on wrd1972's version.

1. Good to know, but seems like voice-actor doing real performance should have been the default.

 

2. Interesting. IPDB says:

 

According to Steve Ritchie's website, he and his brother Mark Ritchie were the voice talent for this game.

 

So maybe they did the F14-pilots and Ed Boon did Yagov ?

 

3. Really?! I'll have to try it then. I just have a hard time messing with a Table on my cabinet that is already working 100%.
