Scared Stiff VP9 v1.1

Description:
Based on the Scared Stiff table from Bally made in 1996, with some aditions like the skull pile lights and the boogie dancers.
This is the normal 4:3 version, with highrise pictures for the spider wheel and the backdrop lights. They are available during the game when you press the up cursor. Releasing the key the table shows up again.

The table itself is nearly angle independent, with only the top of the bony flippers made with a reel. So if you change the view you'll need to change the position and/or size of those two reels. In the beginning I wasn't going to add them, but I found out it is better to have them in a fixed position than to don't have them at all.

New in 1.1
- fixed some bugs (script errors)
- made the table faster and it uses less video memory.

Thank you JP and HighRise. Only played one game so far and I can tell this one is a winner. Well the only people who would be able to surpass the VP8 version would be you two. Congratulations on a great table.

The table looks awesome, the very good looking skull ramp,
the reflection of the numbers on the targets are amazing,
the very sharp playfield and all the little animated jumping figures, i like it all.
Your spiderwheel is great, highrise and the jump to fullscreen and back to the table works fine.

All together a perfect pinball table.

The table needs much performance, i have a Intel Dual Core 3,6 Ghz CPU, 4 GB ram and a 1GB Nvidia 285 graficscard. When the Multiball begins and all the flashers works the ball stutters.

I have a problem with the left flipper, the ball is bouncing up. I try your old VP8 version and the ball runs fine with this version.

Thanks a million for this GREAT release JPSalas and highrise! This is a great day for pinball! I noticed that two of the bumpers had no sound, so I checked the script and compared to the names of the Bumper sounds in the "sound manager" and noticed that two of the sounds in the script were named "bumper" and one named "bumper2" and in the "sound manager" it was named "bumper1" and "bumper2" So I changed "bumper1" to just "bumper" in the Sound Manager it was fixed! Just a little heads up! Great table!

Thanks a lot JPSalas and Highrise. Table plays great, even though I have a hard time remember how original played since it was too long ago,

I also want to grab the opportunity to thank you JPSalas for your amazing tables. Have only been using VP for a week and there have already been many sleepless nights for me with all these amazing classics. There are many great tables out there, but the projects you are involved in always have a high quality stamp on them. There are no words for how grateful I am to be able to relive these classics. Thanks for all of your amazing work.

I don't understand why but after 10 minutes, the sound is very bad (rom), such with reduced but no problem with the old version!

thanks guys, I'm glad you are enjoying it! Both JP and I have learned so much since we did our first version I always felt like we could really do it justice with a fresh build.

I think JP has done a lower spec version. If your PC struggles you could also try disabling the fading.

Superbly detailed in so many places, and plays just how I like it. So nice when the ball does what you expect it to do. A treat that does indeed provide the right Stiffness. I doubt this will ever become a 'Dead Thread'.

unfortunately, i also have performance issues in both versions on a high-end pc (i5 quad, ati 5770 1gb) during multiball/flashing.

any advice how to disable the fading as quoted below?

I think JP has done a lower spec version. If your PC struggles you could also try disabling the fading.

No matter which version I try (this one and "reduced") I get a "Could Not Create offscreen surface" message. WTF does that even mean? Was it going to create the image in my lap (which would make me scared "stiff")?

Awesome table but my sound goes bad after a few minutes of playing. Any ideas? Never had any issues like this in any other table. This was the one table I've been waiting for. Thanks.
