Hello, I haven't been able to nail down an answer to this (and sorry if this is a stupid question).....The button that comes with the VIBS board, is that a switch or a toggle?

I'm looking to use OTG full time.  When you click the button, does it STAY connected to your external computer when you power off the ALP (ie works like a switch), or do you have to press the button each time you start up the ALP even if you didn't switch back to stock (ie works like a toggle).

If it works like a switch then I should be able to just click the button, and tuck it away inside the machine (out of sight and no holes needed).

Any clarification on this is helpful.

Welcome to the forum.

The AtGames VIBS-Board uses a simple SPST switch to activate OTG Mode. After it powers-up each time, you have to press the button once to activate OTG-mode. I had it mounted around back, near the power-strip I added.

Even while still using the ALP Main-Board (and OTG Mode) I had a 3rd small LCD for DMD and I mounted a Pinscaped-KL25z (just for analog-nudge back then).

If I might be so bold as to suggest an initial VPX table for you, I suggest F14-Tomcat.

Apart from it being one of my favorites, if configured like the pinball-machine in the arcades, the alpha-numeric (vPinMame - Rom) score is embedded into the Backglass ... so it works nice as a 2-screen cabinet table.

However (like other tables for this period) it does have voice and music.
