I exported the POV settings from one table, renamed it to autopov.pov, and saved it. But when I try to apply it to other tables, it doesn’t work. Where exactly should the autopov.pov file be placed?

Which version are you on? Povs were replaced in 10.8 with ini files.

I thought they went in the Tables folder, named like the table.pov .

Whole arrangement similar to how you place and use table.directB2S files.

autopov.pov goes into the folder where the other tables ... when you want the same POV to be applied. Mind though, not sure if this works with upcoming 10.8.x

What I use to do was to have only one autopov.pov in a folder of tables made my the late and great loserman.

Making me only have to adjust ONE table to get all the other aligned. He used more or less .. one template for his EM's so it worked quite nice.

Going from 10.7 I converted those to 10.8 and made separate - <tablename>.ini files using some perl custom scripting, making small adjustments to the few that didn't really fit 100% with the all pov to rule them all.

Many of Losermans tables have been now improved by the community, so I treat them with custom changes with the old <tablename>.ini as base.

So, if you put all loserman tables into one folder - lets say lmn and then put autopov.pov in that folder too. All tables in that folder will be the same.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
