On paper an RX 6800 XT looks the better option but I've heard people saying to stay away from AMD cards for VPX.

Would be good to hear from someone who's tried both.

 

BTW I can get either card for the same price.

yeah. I had a bad experience with AMD card in the past.

Eg. Nvidia GT 730 2GB worked better than RX 550 4GB.

So from that time, I don´t know about AMD is good enough for any case.

Maybe nowadays can be other situation.

I like Nvidia. I never had any problem.

I have some setups with

RTX 3060 12GB, GTX 1660 Super 6GB and TI 6GB, GTX 1650 4GB and GTX 980 4GB

All of them work fine
