Hi, I recently downloaded pup packs for Goonies Never Say Die and The Die Hard Tables.  I have theses pup packs working when I open the tables with VPX 10.8, my back glass and full DMD both display properly.  I added the tables to my front end pinup popper and when I open the tables with the front end my puppacks do not display, I just get the standard generic visual pinball back glass and full dmd.  I have tried the pup pack editor in pinup popper and tried a bunch of different setting for the back glass and full dmd display like "force on" "force pop" "force back" etc.  I cannot get the pup packs to work with pinup popper no matter what I set the editor to.  I am on a 3 cabinet screen cabinet set up.  Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

I'd would argue that this error has nothing to do with PUP. It doesn't do anything mysterious. If you look in the emulator's launch script, you'll see what command is being called there.

You can see the called vpx version in the command line "SET VPXEXE=...".
I assume that the vpx version you're manually running is different from the one PUP launches. ? (32bit version instead of 64bit?)

If you have a standard backglass using Popper, there are perhaps two identical tables, one with BG and one with the PUPpack?

If you have two identical tables (evtl. with identical ROMs, Die Hard has no ROM), one of which uses normal BG and the other the BG from the PUPpack, they must be distinguishable.

The easiest way would be to use the vpmalias.txt file to change the cgname and map it to the original ROMname.

I suggest to take a look in my docu, link in the footer. In Chap. 16.7 are several hints how to manage tables using BG and PUPpacks

Thanks for the reply. I only have 1 die hard table on my system and I just have the pup pack, no back glass. I have two versions of goonies but one of them is named pup goonies and I have removed the back glass and b2s from that table. Another thing that I noticed is I can run popper batch media auto record and it will pick up the back glass and full dmd from the pup packs for both tables. I can see the black glass and full dmd from both tables in my game select screen in pinup popper. When I load into the game I just get a loop of what popper batch media record has recorded but no actual pup packs videos. I went back and removed the files popper batch media record pulled in. Now when I open either game I just get the standard "visual pinball" splash screen for my back glass and full dmd. I am wondering if it's a setting within pinup popper. Both tables load and play fine directly out of VPX 10.8
Is it possible that this setting is what is causing my issue with pup packs?
