Hey everyone!  My PUP videos on tables I've loaded are working fine.  However, the PUP videos for Last Action Hero are showing as rotated.  The backglass image is fine.  What do I need to tweak to change?  I couldn't see anything obvious in the PUPPack Editor, but I'm not experienced here.

Thanks Outhere.  Not super useful for me, I don't think, unless someone can better explain.  I looked at that prior to posting.  The area I found was below.  The problem is, I don't know which screens to use 11-19 on, and I'm not experienced enough to make a custom PuP Layout.  Was hoping someone had an easy fix.  The PuP Editor doesn't have "rotation" to set, and setting my display rotation would affect my PUPs globally (other tables are fine and it's already at 0), wouldn't it?

Also, the backglass image works fine.  It's only the videos that play on the backglass that are rotated.  Not sure if that is more confusing or makes sense.

--------

Why on certain PuP-Packs are some of the videos rotated (like playing sideways) ?

Some older or non-standard PuPPacks use displays 5-10 which can conflict with your rotation settings in Popper. The newer/standard way for Packs is to only use 11-19 for puppack custompos screens.

Two solutions. Configure your pupdisplays to have rotation set to 0 (zero) on all displays, you will need to rotate your media in Popper Frontend manually. OR make a custom PuP layout for the older puppacks which have all rotations set to 0 for them. Then all you need to do is copy your custom pup layout to the root on any pack that may have the issue.

Not really.  First, I couldn't find a "configdisplays.bat".... it's actually PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat (took me awhile)

Secondly, this just loads up my display editor.  My BackGlass is fine.  It's the videos that play ON it that are rotated.  If I rotate my Backglass, then the backglass image will be rotated, no?

It's fine.  Sounds like there isn't a fix without knowing how PUPs are created or configured.  It doesn't seem easy to me, as it is to others.

Yes, you are right, with the full name to configure the PUPScreens.

I summarize your Issue: PUP-Videos only for Last action hero are rotated, the PUPvideos for other tables ar oriented in the right way.

I would like to explain more in detail what nailbuster means in his instructions.

The aim is to configure the first, more easy variant in his instruction. When you change the config of PUP only for this table to rotate the video(s), this config is only valid for this table,  and your problem is solved.

  • The confguration of PUPplayer can be changed by running PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat
But this tool changes the config in general for PUPplayer. For that reason:
  • you have to backup the config file "PinUpPlayer.ini" at first before any changes. Make a copy & paste.
  • run PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat, click "configure screens", choose the screen with the wrong rotation, change the rotation in the filed "rotation"
  • save the configuration by clicking "save"
  • then copy the changed PinUpPlayer.ini to the main  directory of the table's PUPpack. (..\PinUPSystem\PUPVideos\\lah_113)
  • rename the backuped "PinUpPlayer.ini copy.ini" to its original name "PinUpPlayer.ini"
  • Thats it

I hope its now more understandable and fxes your issue
